Pouring Rain

Due to the rainfall yesterday afternoon, the pets couldn't send a search party. So they waited for the rain to stop eventually. Yet it continued to rain heavily upon the city for another two days, causing the pets to stay inside. However, the rain didn't stop Rocky and Linda from visiting their daughter.

When Gidget found them outside her front door, she was half tempted to tell them to get out of her life. Staying calm though, she reluctantly allowed her parents to come inside. Once everyone was settled, she dared to ask Rocky, "Hey Dad, since when was it okay to go ahead and start ruining my life?" Speechless, Linda glared at Rocky, who managed to pull off a surprised face.

"Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about! You lied to me and my friends! Because of you, Snowball and Ozone were tied up in a closet, my best friend is missing and you made us think he was dead, Duke ran away, and you caused Max to break up with me!" Gidget snapped at her father. Her mother couldn't even look Rocky in the face as she walked out the door, calling Rocky to follow.

Before he left, Rocky turned around and snarled, "In case you're wondering, I dumped your best friend's body in a pond. Good luck finding that clumsy mutt!" Without another word, he joined Gidget's mother as they walked home together. Shaking her head in disbelief, Linda whispered, "Honey, I've already had to bare the feeling of losing seven children. Don't make me lose my eighth." Rocky rolled his eyes behind her back as they walked in the rain.
