Paws burning from running on the sidewalk, Norman took a sharp turn to the left into the alley, the group hot on his heels. Laying on the ground, Tiberius still hadn't moved from the spot where he left him. Just like the stranger had said, she was no longer in the alley. Worried for his friend, the guinea pig stood beside the unmoving hawk and stroked the feathers on his head with gentle care. The other pets gathered around.

Biting his lip, Snowball gazed at the old hawk. Clearing his throat, he knelt down next to Norman and whispered, "I'm very sorry Norman. But... I think Tiberius has... moved on." Tears brimmed in the guinea pig's eyes as he gazed at the rabbit. Stepping forward, Max went on, "At least he isn't in any pain."

"Any pain?! Try telling that to my skull!" a voice grumbled. The pets glanced around them fearfully until they realized that the voice belonged to Tiberius. The hawk opened his eyes and lifted his head. Snowball's jaw dropped in astonishment, which Duke quickly shut for him. Delighted, Norman leaped onto the old hawk and hugged him tightly. Coughing slightly, Tiberius looked around at his surroundings and declared, "Hey, that psychotic dog fixed my double vision!"

Just then, Chloe and Pops entered the alley with Ozone and the other search party. "Aren't we supposed to be looking for Rocky?" Mel asked, scratching his ear. Nodding her head, Gidget beckoned the others to follow her as she took off in the direction her father had went, hoping to catch up.
