"How many times do I have to tell you that one plus eight is equal to nine, not eighteen!" Mrs. Prink discussed.

I yawned, making the obvious expression of a student bored from the teacher's speaking. I don't usually find Math class boring. In fact, I like Math, and I've always been fascinated with numbers. Only today is a recap of last week's lesson since more than half of the class failed her pop quiz. Of course, I wasn't one of them. I am her star student. They always make the same mistake, putting the numbers together instead of adding them. And Maam would always say the same thing, over and over again. Argh, so boring.

Finally, the bell rang. About time! Finally, snacktime!

"Okay class. We will have another quiz tomorrow. This time, I expect higher scores." she said. She greeted goodbye and left the classroom, leaving the kids showing off their snacks.

Unlike most of my classmates, I don't bring snacks. I have to buy some from the canteen using the money dad would always give me. I was grabbing some change from my wallet when I felt something scratch through my scalp.

"Liam!" I screamed as I saw him playing with the ribbon of my headband. How dare he grab my headband off of me. He knows I hate it when he does that.

"Hmm, new headband? It's blue. Your headbands are usually pink, or purple. Sometimes white," he said.

I attempted to retrieve my headband but Liam shifted his hand with my headband away from me and stopping me using his free hand.

"Give it to me!" I shouted as if my headband was my life. Liam always bugs me. He also bugs other people but he bugs me a million times more. Does he hate me that much?

"Try and catch me!" he said as he ran outside the classroom door. Of course I chased him. He ran around the huge wide tree, making me run in circles. After a few rounds he ran up a flight of stairs.

"Can't catch me!" he teased as he aced up the stairs. I was tired, very tired. I get tired easily, but I still carried on on running. I headed towards and up the stairs, not looking at where I'm heading. But all of a sudden I felt my body collide against something that made me fall down the flight of stairs, feeling every angle of each step, until I reached the ground.

For some reason, I wasn't capable of screaming. I only stayed there, silent, making tears freely fall from the pain. My upper body weight was carried by my right elbow, making it hurt a lot.

I couldn't really see anything because my hair was blocking my view. It covered my entire face. I heard footsteps heading towards me, a lot of footsteps. Then loud murmurs followed. I guess a crowd was around me. Ugh. I don't like it when there's a big fuzz over me. I hate having unnecessary attention. If only I could, I would run away from these people, if only I could. I was too much in pain to be capable of doing anything close to running.

"Excuse me," I heard someone say. I expected it to be Liam, but no, it wasn't him. I'd know Liam's voice from anywhere so I'm positive that this was not him. I cried a little more. I hate Liam, it's his fault. Sweat was building up and my face was wet from my tears and sweat. The crowd should go away, I can barely breathe.

"Are you okay?" the voice asked. What a stupid question to ask. "I'm very sorry! I didn't see you a while ago. I'm very very sorry please don't die."

Am I okay? Of course I'm not! Stupid person. What? Why would I die? I'm not severely injured or something. He must've been the person I bumped into.

"It hurts," I murmured. There's nothing much to say anyway.

I heard heavy footsteps walk towards me, and I heard a familiar voice say "Move away, the girl needs air." The nurse! About she got here.
