A/N: Sorry for the late update. Well, I made this chapter long, to make it all up. I just hope I haven't lost my readers. Enjoy! :D

"Pretty please?" she pleaded, attempting the puppy eyes and failed effortlessly. Instead of being cute, like it was supposed to be, she ended up looking stupid.
She gripped my hand with her eyes locked on mine, anxiously waiting for an answer. See, she wanted to watch "Midnight Mannequins" with me. It's a horror movie about a doll who takes over kids during midnight, telling them to kill old people. I've seen the trailer, it's creepy No matter how much I love horror movies, I very much despise dolls, especially creepy ones. It's because of that incident five years ago, ugh. Weird, huh? A guy with a fear of dolls, sounds pretty gay. Maddie knows about this yet she wants to watch it with me. I don't know why she forces me into this. Maddie's a pretty girl with a lot of friends, she could just ask any of them. But nooo, she wanted to watch it with me, maybe she wants me to puke my guts out.
Maddie's position didn't change a bit. Her eyes were still large with her bottom lip hanging as it tried to hide her upper lip. Ugh. I can't stand her.
"Alright," I said. I heard sighs of relief escape her lips, as if she was holding her breath the entire time. Her pout transisted into a smile. "But I'm not paying for my popcorn," I added
"Okay, whatever," she said. "Let's go!" she exclaimed as she grabbed by the arm, running towards the mall a few blocks from our school.
Maddie and I are now in 10th grade. Since the incident, we have been the best and closest of friends. We would do almost everything together. Some people would even mistake us as siblings or even couples. But we are nothing more than childhood friends who became unusually close.
But a lot has changed since the first time we've met. When we were young, she would tease me because of how short I am, since she's about two fists taller than me, but now it's the other way around. Her chubby cheeks have now deflated, delicately shaping her face. The naturally brown haired girl I knew now had her hair dyed black. At first I was angry, I really liked her brown hair. But got used to it, yet I still preferred her natural hair color. But that didn't matter, she still had the dark brown eyes of an angel.
I, on the other hand, haven't changed much. I just gotten taller and older, that's all. Only that I had to wear these stupid prescription glasses. I find them annoying, but Maddie thinks that they look good on me. But I didn't really care whether I looked good or not, I just wanted them out of my face. It's giving me mannerisms, you know.
We've arrived in the movie theater thingy. We only have to pay for our tickets, then we can go inside.
"Here," she said, handing me money. "You buy our popcorn while I pay for the tickets. Now go! The movie's starting in three minutes."
I rolled my eyes. Sometimes she could be very bossy.

"I can't help it Merlissa, you have to die." said the girl in the big screen as she was controlled by the doll.
The little girl dug two nails in Merlissa's eyes. Fake, movie blood squirted out everywhere as Merlissa tried to pull the nails out of her eyes. Orla, the doll, wore a creepy malignant smile which could easily scare people with doll phobias such as myself.
I shut my eyes at another scene of Orla, making Maddie snicker in her seat.
"Shut up," I told Maddie as I took another handful of popcorn from her huge bucket.
