Chapter 6: It's Time for Ariel to Turn into a Sea Foam

Did you ever experience that moment wherein everything seemed to be in slow motion- people gawking at you like you suddenly grew three heads- and you're right smack at the middle of it? That's exactly what's happening to me right now.

After storming off the house and stubbornly ignored Blake and Tyler's yell of protests, I angrily made my way towards the bus stop across the street from us and moodily slumped my ass at the ledge there. The said devils who didn't take heed of my memo, "Stay away from me and please leave me alone."  found me fuming there and hauled my arse inside the black Dodge Viper they're in.

I ignored Tyler's ranting, his repeated "You're a girl and you shouldn't be riding buses full of hormonal motherfvckers" caused a brewing headache inside my skull. Thankfully, the devil itself chose that moment to remain silent and let my brother grilled me with his so-called 'Brother's words of wisdom'.

I all but kicked open the door when the familiar statue of a roaring lion came into view, the words 'Welcome to King of Beasts High' strategically placed below its paws. Thinking that I would finally be left alone, I almost went bat shit crazy when Tyler and Blake flanked me on either side.

I stopped walking and gave them my most withering glare which made the two all the more amused.

"You look like a kitten Maddie." Blake stated, his relaxed stance pissing me off.

"What do you think you're doing?!" I growled.

"Going to school?" he asked. I knew that he was teasing me what with his smirk turning all the more wider and I was tempted to wipe it off his face hence the closing the distance between us.

His eyes softened when I neared him, his smile turning cheerful when we're just a breadth away. The black tint of his eyes captivated me, making me forget why I even closed the distance between us in the first place. Before making a move like kiss him, the quietness of the campus unnerved me- snapping me back to reality.

Different pairs of eyes were watching us intently, most of them throwing daggers my way and I all but cowered in fear. As if their deadly looks wouldn't kill me enough, my brother chose that moment to open his big mouth and yelled, "Stop eye sexing each other. You'll have plentiful of time to do the real thing at home. Let's go and try to learn something my dear Madielyn."

The rest of my morning classes passed by in a blur, Blake and Tyler managed to charm their way on the secretary's pants and have their schedule patterned after me. I was secretly thankful that they were at my classes since the cold stares I've been receiving all day was enough for me to pee on my pants. They instantly became royalties, the amount of girls begging for their attention were just astounding- and yet, they didn't talk to anyone of them.

Anastasia's been giving me the stink eye everytime we crossed paths, making me wary of what her plan for me would be. I was trying to catch a glimpse of Nate all day, but I hadn't seen him so far- which made Blake happier, the devil couldn't hide the grin quirking his lips whenever I'd look at him with a dissapointed face.

I was sitting alone at my usual spot, located at the farthest table at the cafeteria, reading a book in hand while biting at the chocolate wrapped cracker I bought at Mr. Dawson's bakery. Most often than not, I became oblivious to what's happening around me whenever I had a book in hand- the easiest way for me to escape reality- so I didn't notice when Anastasia and her barbie minions sat across from me.

"Loser." she stated before snatching away my book.

I turned rigid when her scowling face came into view, the murderous glint in her eyes rooted me to the spot. One of her minions, I think her name's Sam, sat beside me- her perfectly manicured nails twirling a piece of my black tresses a little too hard.
