"How come today you seem like a woman, not my friend?Third Person POV
*Flashback to a couple months ago, the beginning of summer*
It was the first day of summer and as a yearly tradition both June's and Jeongin's family went on their joined family vacation.
This year wasn't any different from last year, they decided to go to the beach and soak up the summer sun.
June stretches out her arms, "That was a long car ride my back was killing me."
Jeongin steps out the car with a slight hop to his step, "Look at the ocean!"
June states breathlessly, "It's so pretty!"
June throws her arm over Jeongin's shoulder, "Let's go! Let's go!"
June and Jeongin run towards the ocean, the laughter of their parents rings in the background.
The waves crash onshore calmly and the sand beneath their feet wasn't too hot nor cold.
"Whoever gets wet first loses!" June shoves Jeongin towards the ocean and laughs.
Jeongin gains his balance and gives June a playful look.
"So you're playing a little dirty aren't you? Two can play that game."
"Bring it on 6th grader." June says teasingly challenging him.
He slowly walks to her deciding when to make his move, "For your information I'm in 7th grade now."
Jeongin steps forward and June takes a step back. June's smile grows wider, her eyes were shining with excitement. Her pastel blue sundress flows because of the slight breeze.
Jeongin suddenly feels his stomach turn into knots. She looks. . . her smile. June takes this opportunity of his dazed state and pushes him towards the crashing waves.
"I won~" She raises her arms in victory and does a little dance.
"H-hey that's not fair!" Jeongin gains his composure and shakes his head. What was I thinking?
She sticks out her tongue, and walks towards the waves. The refreshing coldness of the ocean hits her toes.
"We're going to be inside the house if you kids need anything." June's mom says loudly while carrying the bags inside the house.
"Be careful!" Jeongin's mom states in a motherly tone and then closes the door.
June flings some water towards Jeongin and chuckles.
Jeongin returns the act, but with more force and wets her dress.
"Hey!"
The kids play until it turns dark of course the parents did the occasional check up to see if their kids were okay.
The moon shines brightly and lights up the darkness of the night. The waves crash more violently on the shore filling up the silence between the two.
