[it's not half bad]
-chapter four

i awoke to the sound of gentle murmuring in my ear. "mari?" it said softly, warm breath brushing the shell of my ear. i rubbed my eyes and slowly opened them to see darkness and only two green orbes staring back at me. i blinked, then sat up sharply, knocking his head, which was very close to mine, back.  "o-oh im sorry!" i groaned.
"don't worry about it, im glad to know you're awake at least".

"a-adrien, what tim- time is it?" i yawned, looking around. the darkness was so enchanting, so enthralling. the stars were blinking by the thousands above me. how was it already night when i hardly remembered the day? he chuckled slightly and showed me his watch.

"what! it's eleven already?" I half shrieked, standing up violently and almost pushing him over, again. "you- i mean i'm sorry."

he merely smiles as i look around, making my way towards the cabin. by the looks of things I had fallen asleep outside beside the pool due to jet lag. i didnt even wholly remember walking myself here, i was probably already half alseep.

"i am so sorry, what did I miss?" i questioned.
he opened the door the cabin and said- "not much really." he held the door for me, what a gentleman.

my jaw dropped. it was absolutely stunning inside, like something taken right out of a fairytale house to be honest. the walls were a light grey, with magnolia accenting features. the wooden beams also lined the ciellings. their chipped, messily painted appearance was an amazing design choice. the furniture was modern yet had a vintage sort of feel to it, also featuring the chipped look. he beamed seeing the look on my face.

"your room is this way-" he said, motioning up the wooden stairs. as he opened the door, I saw an amazing four poster bed with two bedside tables, a wardrobe, an en-suit bathroom, a dressing table and an unpacked suit-
wait... what.
"who unpacked my suitcase?" i thought.
"you're welcome, i hope i didn't ruin anything" said adrien motioning to the suitcase.

"i'm thinking aloud again aren't i?" i muttered, beating myself up inside
he nodded, still smiling
"well, um- th-thank me-no no - ugh - thank you," i stammered, the way only he could.

he ruffled my blue hair slightly, making it cover my eyes and said "night shortie," walking off to his room across the hall.
"i'm not that short!" i whined, rolling my eyes. this joke is getting old now. maybe in comparison to him, but what is he expecting! not everyone has the legs of a supermodel. he can speak for himself. although i couldnt help admitting it made my stomach feel an odd sort of way. a sort of somersault, with the strength of a tumble dryer.

i could barely sleep.
i guess this may not be half bad
