after getting off the ship, i decided it was now or never, i had to find out whether it was him. "uhmm, excuse me. sorry to bother you but, is your name jeremy by any chance?" i mumbled shyly.

adrien was staring intently, confused as to why idecided to talk to a stranger.

the boy looked at me, scanning me up and down. "sorry I must have the wr-" i began.
"wait...mari?" he questioned. i beamed, in shock. i nodded vigorously and we embraced each other tightly. oh so it was him! this is one of the happiest days of my life.

"it's been so long," he said smiling "yet you've not grown a bit shortie."

shortie, hm, again.

i heard a sarcastic sort of fake cough in the background, adrien wanted to ask what was happening. icould tell he didn't want to interrupt. "oh a-dri-drien, this is j-jeremy, jeremy this is adrien." i smiled stuttering as I noticed the fake smile plastered on adriens face.

it may fool most people but not me. why was he faking a smile though?

adrien raised raised an eyebrow as jeremy rolled his eyes. "oh, the famous 'adrien agreste' is it? ive heard all about you. so, are you two like....dating." he asked sarcastically.
i blushed at that but instantly denied, it wasn't true "no, no, we're just friends."
adrien said nothing, an eyebrow still raised and now a rather disgusted look creeped slowly onto his face.

"so why are you here?" asked jeremy, turning away from adrien.
"well, we came for a summer vacation from school." i answered.

"you see, i wanted to tell you i was moving, but i couldn't. Iimoved to paris and....and..." i burst into tears. i knew bringing it up was sudden but i felt so guilty and felt i really owed him an explanation. jeremy put his arm around my shoulders, letting my head lie against his chest, and lead me away, smirking at adrien as he walked past him in a mocking way.
