I was getting ready to head out and meet Marcus I was excited to be catching up after the past few days and I couldn't wait to see what he was up to. I wore a nice flowy dress to try and hide my belly I turned to the side getting frustrated. I put my hair up and put my shades on I grabbed my keys and bag leaving out my grandma had went to church and Brandon was teaching a class today so the house was pretty empty. I got in my car turning some music on and heading out. I pulled up to where my GPS told me to it was a frozen yogurt place and it looked pretty cool I guess. I got out of the car locking the doors going inside I saw Marcus standing in the line ordering and I walked over "hey right on time!" we smiled and hugged each other looking back at the menu "what do you think your gonna have ro?" "mmm I don't know everything sounds good to me." I looked all over the menu they had everything "umm I think I will just take a extra large strawberry banana smoothie withhhh.....blueberries actually add a small yogurt cup of vanilla with peanuts and strawberries" the lady looked at me like I was crazy and rang everything up I began pulling my wallet out "no no let me my treat THIS TIME!" I laughed and we finally got our stuff and went to go find a table. "Soo what's been up its crazy seeing you here" I asked "well after leaving tour that one day..I decided I had to do things my own way..so I came down here and got my own studio and have been helping a lot of artist who are trying to come up.." "wow okay I see why here?" "because everything happens here" I nodded taking a sip "so what about you what makes miss cherry gem pop up in Georgia?" "hmm let's see a lot of ship happened and I met my long lost grandma and I decided I wanted to get back home start fresh just get away for a while ya know..get to know my estranged family which is still so crazy to me but yeah that's about it" "and your music?" "I've been writing here and there between moving in and getting ready for the baby I haven't recorded yet been trying" "speaking of baby..well" I told him the whole baby situation "wow so he has no idea.." It was very nice and spacious..had drums set up of course and other things I sat down at the console sitting back "you want water or apple juice?" "water please." "you got it" he handed me a water bottle from his mini fridge and sat down turning everything up playing the song for me...now I know I said I would just listen but the song was great and it had amazing potential I nodded my head getting a feel for it..the beat was good, the lyrics, the meaning and it was saying everything I was feeling..."okay okayy I like it I may have to hop on there" "I was thinking it reminded me of a lot you were going through with you know who so like when you told him you hate him we can add this lyric in I hate you so much Cause girls only say "hate you" to the guys they love I know, I know, I know The highs, the lows it comes and goes..." I nodded my head listening to the beat one more time beginning to sing whatever came to mind" When you said it was over you shot right through my heart Why you let these hoes tear what we had right apart Ooh, I was so mad I could've seen this coming right from the start" "oooo yesss see this is a sign you came back to Georgia to get back on this song" I started laughing "alright alright ill do your song..set me up" I got up and we began recording our song and then he let me record the song that I wrote the other day.
"wow you must've really been hurt" he said as we played back my song "sing from the heart" "well it sounds good." We finished what we were doing and I had a great time messing around today and catching up with an old friend it was good to know he was here and doing his thing. We stood up hugging each other goodbye "Alright im gonna stay and finish up some more music" "Okay I will see you later" I walked out and found my way back to my car heading home. On the way home I passed by a place..that brought back many memories...I pulled in parking the car taking a deep breath. I grabbed a sweater that was laying around in my car pulling it on and walking into my old dance studio. This is where I first started taking dance lessons and the rest is history..I walked in seeing a class full of beautiful young ballerinas..I stood to the side trying to be as lowkey as possible but I guess not. The girls all started screaming and running over to me "hiii" I hugged a few of them pulling my stomach away so nobody could tell or feel..I even took a few pictures "I am so sorry I didn't mean to come in here and interrupt.." "no no it is fine..we are all very big fans." I smiled "that means a lot.." "GEM CAN YOU TEACH US A LESSON!!" "YEAH TEACH US!!" I laughed "I would love to teach you everything I know..but unfortunately I am not feeling so well I was just driving and passed by and I don' t know if you guys know this but when I was younger I danced here this is my first love...and I learned so much and I see a lot of me in al of you stay in school and follow your heart no matter what it tell you and you are bound to be great and nobody can take that away from you or stop you..just go hard and love what you do because not everybody can do it..it really is special so stay in school and work hard okay!" "byeeee!" they all said as I smiled and waved to them leaving out the memories..they never go away.
