Summer vacation in the woods?

As soon as the school bell rang you ran out the door at lightning speed. It's the last day of school and that means it's summer vacation! You were so excited to be spending a whole 3 months with your best friend. The two of you planned to play a ton of games and eat loads of junk food until you both wake up in the hospital. When you got home you raced upstairs to your room, calling your bestie on the phone.

"Hey (y/n)! are you ready for a whole 3 and a half months of irresponsible fun?!" She asked.

"Heck yes! I'm so hype for this!" You responded happily.

"Good! Cuz I just got the newest version of (favourite game) and I need my player 2 now! So get your butt over here!"

"Ohh I'm so gonna kick your butt at that game! Guess who's been practicing for weeks?"

"Yeah whatever girl, just come over already." *click* And with that she hung up. You packed up all your clothes and other things you needed for the sleepover and headed downstairs.

"(y/n) sweetie can you come here?" Your mother called from the living room.
You let out a sigh of annoyance before walking into the living room, you and your parents exchanged glances of confusion at each other, it looked like they were packing for trip somewhere but where and why? You wondered.

"(Y/n) where are you going? We have to get ready." Your mother asked sternly while packing up her suitcase.

"I'm going over to my friends house for the weekend, where are you guys going?" You questioned as you tilted your head to the side.

"We're going on vacation to a nearby campsite." Your father answered.

Shrugging your shoulders you turn around and wave your parents off. "Alright have fun you guys."

"As...a...FAMILY!" Your mother growled, startling you a little.

"B-but I made plans already." You pouted.

"Sorry sweetie there's been a change of plans, but look on the bright side you might make a new friend." Your dad smiled assuringly.

It wasn't fair, this was supposed to be YOUR summer vacation, and now you have to spend it in the wilderness with your boring parents. Sighing in defeat you quickly dial up your friend and tell her the bad news.

"What?! But we made plans already!" She shrieked in utter disbelief.

"I told them that and they still insisted that I go." You replied sadly.

"Your parents suck!"

"(Sigh)....Yeah I know."

"Well....you better text me back!"

"I will. See ya."

"Hmph." *click* Again she hangs up without saying bye.
You sit in car, hating your parents for being such jerks. Eventually you got tired of hating so you fell asleep.
