A new crush?

Ever since you rescued that fox, you just couldn't stop thinking about him. You remembered the way he looked at you with his blue eyes, how he hugged you for saving him. The way he made your heart jump, the sudden rush of adrenaline coursing through your veins.

You had to see him again, so you did your usual morning routine and grabbed a bag of lays chips as you walked out into the woods where you saved him.

You waited and waited until you decided to give up and go back.

"H-hi there miss." Your heart skipped a beat when you heard a familiar voice. You quickly spun around and there he was, shyly smiling at you with his hands behind his back. He's even cuter in broad daylight. You smiled happily.

"Oh hey there foxy, I brought you these." You greeted as you handed him the bag of chips.

"Wow thanks! Oh! I almost forgot...these are for you, as a thank you for saving me last night." He beamed as he gave you a bouquet of your favourite flowers.

"Oh my gosh! Thank you, these are my favourite." You squealed while sniffing the fragrant roses.

"I know." He replied looking at the ground trying to hide his growing blush. This quickly caught your attention.

"How did you know that these were my favourite type of flowers?" You asked, eyeing the fox suspiciously.

The little fox gulped, realizing his mistake, he sighed knowing that there's no point in lying.

"When I first saw you exiting your family's car I wanted to get to know you but I was too shy, so I decided to wait until nightfall to leave you a note. I wasn't watching where I was going when I got stuck in... a fox trap." He said looking at the ground, ashamed at himself for being creepy. He was about to apologize when you quickly interrupted by kissing his furry cheek.

"Wow." Said the love struck fox.

"I didn't catch your name cutie." You flirted, batting your eyelashes.

"Oh I'm sorry, my name is Miles Prower but I prefer to be called Tails. What about you? Is your name as pretty as your face?" He flirted back, flashing you a toothy grin.

"I'm (y/n)." You giggled.

"Hehe, a beautiful name for a beautiful girl." Before you could reply you both hear a faint noise in the distance, it sounded like someone was calling Tails.

"Uh oh! That sounds like Sonic, (y/n) I'm really sorry I gotta go, but meet me back here later tonight." He said while holding your hand before giving it a light kiss. He spun his two tails around like helicopter blades to fly off into the sky leaving your heart a flutter.

"Yup I've got a crush on a fox. Meh it's still a better love story than twilight." You think out loud while smelling your flowers.
