Let's try this again part 2

You looked at Tails, who nodded for you to continue. After a short pause you let out a deep sigh. "....I want to be with you Tails."

"R-really? That's great!" Tails exclaimed happily. "Oh (Y/n), you don't know how happy I am to hear that!"

You pulled him in for a tight embrace, which he obligingly returned. "And I'm happy just being near you." You whispered softly. At that moment you wanted to stay in his arms forever, to be able to forget about the world around you. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. As you slowly pull away from the hug Tails quickly pulled you back in, holding you tighter. It was as if he was afraid to lose to again.

"Please...let's just stay like this for awhile..." he pleaded.

"Sure thing."

Meanwhile, Tawnya had just woken up from the couch. She stretched her sore back and neck from lying down in an awkward position. She felt a little thirsty after being unconscious for some time, so she absentmindedly walked towards the fridge, believing that she is at your house. Tawnya rummaged through Tails' personal fridge until she found an orange soda. After she drank the fizzy beverage, she then decided she was hungry.

"Wonder if (Y/n) has any pizza in here." She said to herself while digging deeper into the fridge. Tawnya's face twisted in disgust when she pulled out a mint flavoured slice of cake. "Ewww! Gross! What is this crap?!" She shrieked as she pinched her nose, preventing the strong odour from filling in her sensitive nasal cavity.

Due to her clumsiness and sheer distaste for anything mint flavoured, she accidentally dropped the minty dessert onto the floor. "Whoops." She said as she whipped her head around to make sure that nobody saw that. "Phew. Guess everyone's still asleep." She let out a relieved sigh. Carefully, she scooped up the smooshed floor-cake and dumped it onto the plastic plate where she found it. "I'll just blame it on the dog." She snickered evilly as she put the dirty cake back in the fridge.

After eating half of everything in the fridge, Tawnya searched for the bathroom. Surprisingly, she found it.

"Then it's official. We're together forever." Tails beamed, he reached out for your hand and gently intertwined his fingers with yours. "Should we tell your friend the good news?"

You didn't think it was a good idea to tell Tawnya, seeing how she fainted just from looking at Tails. You were afraid the news might actually kill her, but seeing Tails' adorable face made you cave in to his cuteness. "Okay fine, let's go tell her."

The both of you walked into the living room only to find no one there. "W-what? Where did she go?" You asked in a slight panic.

"Calm down princess, maybe she decided to go for a walk after she woke up." Tails said reassuringly. "She couldn't have gotten far."

"Yeah but wha-"

The sound of a toilet flushing stopped you mid sentence. Both you and Tails exchange glances before turning your attention to the bathroom. Out came Tawnya as she yawned loudly and walked groggily towards you. Tails couldn't hold back his laughter when he saw the toilet paper stuck to her foot.

Tawnya's eyes snapped opened when she noticed Tails. Her mouth hung open as she tried to think of something to say. "Y-your a f-fox!" She stuttered fearfully while pointing at Tails.

Tails couldn't help but chuckle at her reaction, no ones ever been afraid of him before. Once he stopped giggling, he gave Tawnya his most friendliest smile and stuck out his gloved hand. "Hi, my names Miles "Tails" Prower, But I prefer Tails. It's nice to meet you."

By now Tawnya was totally freaked out, she backed away until she felt a wall behind her. "Okay....you're a...fox...that talks. Please don't eat me."

You walked over to Tawnya and held her hand. "Don't worry, he doesn't bite. He's had all of his shots." You said in a calm whisper, with slight sarcasm.

As soon as you started laughing, she broke her terrified trance and huffed. "This isn't funny (Y/n)! We're standing in a room with a 4 foot talking fox!"

"W-what are you doing?" You asked, noticing that she was reaching for her cellphone.

"I'm calling animal control duh!" She said as she dialed the number, but stopped once she realized that she didn't know what the number was.
"(Y/n)! What's the number for animal control?!"

You smirked and crossed your arms. "I'm not telling you."

"What if he reverts back to his natural instincts and attacks us?!"

"I'll protect us both okay? Now put that phone down, we gotta talk."

When Tails opened up his fridge his smile fell once he pulled out his destroyed favourite slice of cake. "Hey! What happened to my mint cake? And who ate all the food and soda?" He asked, slightly agitated.

"Oh no! He's going savage! Ahhh!" Tawnya screamed as she hid behind you for protection.

"This is gonna take some getting used to." You say with no enthusiasm.
