I didn't bother checking on Lana because I knew she was still asleep. I got up and Brendon followed suit. He was in his pj's and I was in just sweatpants. I picked him up and went down the stairs to see them all vlogging. I set Brendon down as he started to squirm and he ran to Devin immediately. "Devvy!" He yelled as she swung him around laughing. "Hey B what's up?" She ruffled his hair and walked out of the room. I ran a hand over my face and poured a glass of water for myself. I had Lana's phone in my pocket still. I texted Normani the address and that they could come over whenever. She sent a simple okay and I grabbed a water bottle and the bottle of ibuprofen for Lana. When I got to my room she was stretching as she woke up. She tried to smile at me, but I just gave her a look. She knew she couldn't fool me with a fake smile. "I brought you medicine for a headache I'm 99.999% sure you have." I sat next to her and she leaned on my shoulder taking two pills.

LANA

"I'm sorry." I looked down at my hands noticing my jewelry was gone. He put an arm around me and squeezed me into a hug. He knew I hated them. I squealed and tried to escape. He laughed a little, but his face went serious after and he turned towards me. "Normani, Dinah, and Ally are on their way here." He said shaking a little. I nodded at him a little and sighed. "I kind of figured they'd show up after Lauren told them." I laughed, but he didn't. He showed me kind, caring, worrying eyes as he spoke, "Lauren didn't tell them... I-I did......" My mouth fell open and I couldn't believe he did that. "Colby, what all did you tell them?" He rubbed his eyes as I said this. "While you were talking, I only understood bits and pieces so I told them what I could understand. Normani, she was so worried about you on the phone I couldn't just not tell her what was going on with you, what you were doing, how you were doing. Oh, that reminds me, you're phone." As he said this he handed me my phone. "I've been talking to her on your phone." I nodded at him and looked at it. Texts and calls from Lauren, Ally, Dinah, and my mom checking up on me and Brendon. I texted her back saying we are fine, just drama with Lauren. She replied back saying she wants me to feel better and to be safe. I sent her back a smiley face and leaned back onto Colby's lap. His hands immediately went to my hair. He kept running his hands through it. "Colby you're gonna put me to sleep before they come." He chuckled and kept doing it anyway. I heard my phone go off and I looked down sighing. "I have to go let them in." We got up and Colby went to let them in, while I went into his bathroom. I did my business and left the room, not even bothering with makeup.

I looked around Colby's room for my jewelry. I put my rings and my cross necklace on, then put the rest in my suitcase. I heard talking as I walked down the hallway. "She'll be down in a minute. She was in the bathroom when I left." I heard a few mumbles and then went down the stairs. As soon as I got down there I saw the girls coming towards me and just started to break down. Normani was the first to get to me and grabbed me before I could go to the ground. She grabbed me and I sobbed into her shoulder. "Why me Norm? Why'd I have to fall for her and Shawn and get hurt by both in less than a week? Why do I even try anymore, my feelings just get me hurt?!" I sobbed harder and saw everyone, but Normani, Ally, and Dinah leave. "I don't want to get hurt anymore," I said calming down a little. The rest of the girls hugged me and sunk down to the ground as I sat on it. I looked up and saw Colby standing in the kitchen. He had his elbows on the counter, head in his hands. He looked over, which made me realize I was staring, I was worried about him. He gave me a sad smile and turned away again. "Excuse me a second," I mumbled to the girls, pushing past them to get up. I stepped into the kitchen and walked slowly over to Colby. "You okay?" I asked him, rubbing his arm. He flinched a little but looked at me quickly. "I-I just thought you liked me.." My mouth dropped open and I moved his hands so he could look at me.

"Colby I do like you and you know I like Lauren, but I don't think I can look at her the same way. You've been here with me and I have no idea why. I don't deserve anyone like you. You're way too nice to me and I don't get why you can be so nice to me. I hurt you, I see it in your eyes, I hate myself for hurting you. I should've just walked to somewhere to get away. I wouldn't have come back, if I was thinking then I would have known it would hurt you, but I was so sad and just mad I didn't think about anything other than getting out of there quickly. I'm so selfish and I don't know why you like me. I don't deserve your pity or an ounce of love." By the end of my monologue, he was in tears and I was just furious at myself. "Lana, I've been here for you because you do deserve love. You deserve all of my love, I just want to love you as much as I can. I was so glad that you came back when you were upset. I wanted to be there, I still want to be here for you, when you felt hurt because of Shawn and Lauren. You and Lauren are going to have to get along one day, you are in the group together there is no getting out of it, sorry baby, but you have to make up one day and I'll be here when you need me. You're not selfish, sometimes the person that you'd take a bullet for is behind the trigger." He smirked at the last line and I playfully glared at him. "Did you just smack me with Fall Out Boy lyrics?" I said smiling at him. It was a genuine smile, haven't had one of those in awhile.

In response, he just rolled his head back laughing. "Thank you, Lana, for being here with me, for worrying about how I'm feeling when I know deep down you're hurting. I can't wait to see all of the other things we conquer together." I smiled up at him and he leaned down to kiss me. I heard giggles and a shutter. When we parted I looked over to see Dinah holding a video camera and Ally had my Polaroid camera. I shook my head laughing and Colby hid his face in my neck. I could feel him smiling and I wish we could stay here forever. He had me up against the counter, hands on my hips, hiding in the crook of my neck. He is so beautiful. "Lana you're gorgeous. I hope you know that." He spoke soft, mumbling it slightly. "Now I know thanks to you."
