Submerged || Kim Taehyung

Eighth Dream

You woke up, still crying.

You wanted to know the truth so badly.

You wanted to meet Taehyung.

It was 4 in the morning now and you couldn't stay in bed anymore, you got out and went downstairs. 

You ran all the way to the lake, the sky wasn't bright yet but you were energetic from the sleep.

You untied the shoes off the tree.

You examined the shoes carefully, and you found 'kth' marked with a black marker inside the shoes.

Kth.
Kim Taehyung.

These were Taehyung's shoes.

It struck you so hard as you held the shoes tightly in your hands.

You wanted to know where he was! Why was his shoes tied on the tree!?

You walked towards the lake and walked into the water slowly, feeling the water wet your shoes and socks. You walked further and further into the water, until the water covered half of your body.

You walked three more steps, the water by your chest now, just as you were going to step into the water even more, you heard someone.

"Stop Y/n."

You looked around and found nobody, but one thing for sure was, that was Taehyung's voice.

"Taehyung, please come out." You said while you walked two more steps and now your head was above the water, your whole body soaked in the lake.

"Please Taehyung... Please!" You pleaded.

You heard no response, you smiled hopelessly, walking one last step, drowning your head into the water.

"Why did you do that Kim Y/n!!!" Taehyung asked worriedly, "Why did you do that!?"

You were in total confusion now, if Taehyung was in front of your eyes now, then it meant that you're dreaming. But how could you be dreaming when the last thing you remembered you did was walking into the lake, burying yourself in the water.

"Answer me Y/n!! You could've drowned!!" Taehyung shouted, he had tears running down his cheeks, "Why Y/n?! Why?!" 

He was sobbing in front of you, his face was red from crying and he kept sniffling his nose as he couldn't stop crying.

"You tried to hide yourself in the water and I found you... So I thought if I hid into the lake, you'd find me... And actually meet me in reality." You said.

He heard you and he cried even more, "I'm just your imagination!!! How do I go save you Y/n!? Why do you do this to yourself!? Why can't you take care of yourself when I'm not there Y/n!!!"

Watching him cry made your heart break but you didn't know what to say, all you did was to wipe his tears off his face.

He leaned onto your shoulder, sobbing.

You patted his head and stroked his back, you felt so depressed and so unhopeful.

"But I heard you, Taehyung," You said, you held his face with your two hands, he stared at you into your eyes, "I heard you, telling me to stop. It was you, right Taehyung?"

He kept silent, just staring into your eyes, his eyes were gleaming as if there was a message in them.

Suddenly, he put his hand behind your head and pulled you in. You felt his soft lips on your forehead, he dragged you in for a hug right after that. 

His body was still cold like the time  you hugged him, so you held held him tighter.

"Keep well, Y/n" 

After he said that, he disappeared into the thick white mist.

You opened your eyes and the first thing you saw was Jennie's anxious face.

When she saw you wake up, she shouted, "Mom!!! Y/n woke up!!!" 

You got up slowly, but Jennie tucked you back into the blanket, "You're still weak Y/n."

You stared blankly at the wall, "I thought I was in the lake."

"Oh uhm, dad saved you." Jennie said with hesitation.

You looked at her questionably, "But how did dad know when it was only 4 in the morning?" 

Before Jennie got to answer, you asked once more, "Taehyung told father? Or you?"

She seemed to look a little scared but annoyed, "Y/n, you need to rest."

"It was definitely Taehyung, right, Jennie?! Right?!" You said while pulling on her arm, looking at her, hoping for an answer you wanted.

Her face looked as if she was going to burst, and finally, Jennie screamed, "Will you stop with all this 'Kim Taehyung', 'Kim Taehyung?! He's dead!!!"

...

Her words hit you so hard.

Taehyung...was dead?

Jennie looked like she had just said something she wasn't supposed as she blocked her mouth and inhaled deeply.

And there by the door, stood your mother, shocked by what had just happened.

She came rushing through and tuned Jennie, "How could you tell her!?"

You said to your mom, "I think it's time that you people stop keeping secrets!"

"What are the pills I eat after breakfast that makes me fall asleep?"

"Why do I have headaches especially after the first time I dreamed about Kim Taehyung?"

"Who is Kim Taehyung and why are his shoes hung on the tree by the lake!?"

"Tell me!" You shouted.

Your mother was in tears by now, after you said all that.

You hoped by now all this mistery could be solved.
