                     #Callie's P.O.V#
Its been a few days, I'm out of the hospital, but I still haven't talked. I haven't been to school, either. That's going to suck once I go back, you know, I'll start getting teased about it. I'll probably get bullied because I'm mute, but I can't change it.

Now that we're home, I've settled in, well, I've mainly stayed in my room and locked the door. That is, until Amelia comes back from school. Yes, she still goes, and she brings my homework back with her, so I can still be caught up.

Okay, back to now, where I am currently laying in bed, facing the wall, and staring at it. Amelia is laying behind me, since it's Saturday and she doesn't have school.

"What?" I hear someone say. I get up, going in the hall, Amelia close behind me. We walk down the stairs and into the living room, to see a shocked Lizzie on the phone.

"What's going on?" Amelia asks.

"Yeah... I'll tell her, bye." Lizzie finishes, then curses. "Sorry. Girls, I have to tell you something, I know you won't like." She says, leading us to the couch.

"What is it?" Amelia asks.

Lizzie takes a deep breath. "Okay, so, Amelia, you know how... how you thought you didn't have any family left?"

"Y-yeah..." She stutters out.

I look at Amelia, her face is pale. She looks back at me and grabs my hand, squeezing it gently.

"Well, that was- that was child protection and they called to say that- that- you still have an aunt." Lizzie finally says.

I look at Amelia, her jaw is dropped. "B-but my m-mom always said that- wait. I never really saw my dad's side of the family- I think she- think she left them. Like, never talked to them after my dad died." Amelia realises.

"Well, she- she wants you. We can't fight for it, since we're not your legal family. They called to say that- you leave tomorrow." Lizzie says. I can see her eyes watering up.

"B-but... did they say how far she lives?" Amelia asks, teary eyed.

"About 3 hours away..." Lizzie says.

Amelia bursts out in tears. Lizzie slips a few tears, then looks at me. I'm staring blankly at the wall.

"C-Callie are you okay?" She asks.

I just want to scream
'What?! Why now?!'
But I can't.

I turn to Amelia as I start to cry. Everything starts catching up with me. Amelia looks at me, and I can't help but sob. She pulls me into a hug.

"Its okay, Callie, we can still text and we can still call. We could see eachother on weekends..." She suggests.

I search for paper around me to write on. I find a notebook a pen sitting on the coffee table. I grab them, writing;
'It won't be the same.'

Amelia sighs, sniffling soon after. "Well, then we'll have to make the most of today and tomorrow." She tells me.

I nod, putting my head down.

The rest of the day flies by fast, as does the next morning of her packing.

There's a knock on the door. That's her aunt. I look at Amelia, teary eyed. She has tears running down her face. She picks up her suitcase, and we go downstairs.

While we say goodbye at the door, we kiss for a few minutes, not wanting to stop.

Once we do, her aunt decides to say something. "Gross, we'll have to fix that." She mumbles.

I glare at Amelia's aunt, then look at Amelia. She's sobbing, as am I. Lizzie and Joel are crying too. You wouldn't expect them to cry, but Amelia has been here for a while, she has become one of us.

Amelia leaves, and I break down on the ground. Lizzie and Joel try to comfort me, saying that it'll be alright, but we all know it won't.

Once I calm down enough, I stand up off my knees. I stick my hand in my back pocket, feeling a small piece of paper.

I unfold it.

'Always remember that I love you, no matter what. You'll be okay. Text me when you need me. Call me, do whatever,  know that I'm here for you.'

Amelia must have put it in my pocket before she left. This makes my sob more.

I run up to my room, locking the door and flopping onto my bed.

Minutes later, there's a soft knock on the door. I ignore it, pushing my head farther into my pillow. "Callie?" A soft voice says.

I give up, walking over to the door. Lizzie is standing there, a sympathetic look on her face.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" She asks.

I hold up 1 finger, signalling for her to wait. I walk to a drawer in my desk, pulling out a dry erase board and marker. I quickly write 'No.' And hand it to her.

"Are you sure?" She asks.

I nod.

"Actually, I know just the thing." She says, walking off.

A few minutes later, there's another knock on my bedroom door. Again, I walk over and open it, this time seeing a smiling Lizzie with her phone.

I sigh, nearly shutting the door in her face. She blocks it, though, holding the door open. She taps a button on her phone, and another voice joins in.

"Hello?" Its Amelia!

"Hey Amelia, it's Lizzie. I have Callie here... she wants to talk... Wait..." Lizzie fades off.

I grab the dry erase board again. 'See why I didn't want to do anything?'

"Wait, Amelia, video chat, Callie can then show you her board." Lizzie says, smiling.

There's a pause, then Amelia shows up on the phone. Lizzie turns her camera on as well, so Amelia can see the board.

"Hi Callie!" Amelia says after Lizzie leaves the room.

I write 'hi' on the board.

"How are you holding up?" She asks me.

I write a sad face on the board.

"Awe, don't be sad! We can do this, we can visit eachother once in a while... for a few months that is..." She mumbles the last part.

'What?! For a few months?'

"Hehe... well, you know how my aunt said that us dating was 'gross' or whatever and how she wanted to 'fix' it? Well she's..."
