Chapter 17: A Day Out (Pt. 1)

#Callie's P.O.V#

Its Monday, and we are going out today. We're going to walk on the beach and do some other stuff, too. Again, Colleen, Joey, Rachel, Lizzie, Joel, Amelia, and I are going. Kory and Daniel can't make it, though.

"Callie, come on!" Lizzie calls from the door. I leave the bathroom, already done, and head to the door, linking hands with Amelia.

I look at her and give her a quick kiss before we all leave. The beach is in walking distance for us, but it's not for the others.

We arrive at the beach, and since it's by water, and the weather hasn't warmed up yet because it's pretty early in the morning, it's actually quite chilly, but I didn't think of bringing a sweater like the others did.

"Are you cold, Callie?" Joel asks me.

I nod.

"I'll take care of this." Amelia hugs me, warming me up immediately.

I cuddle into her more and close my eyes.

I get a little bit too comfortable and end up falling asleep...

#Amelia's P.O.V#

I hug Callie, and she cuddles into me more. I think she's a little too comfortable, telling from the quiet snores.

This causes me to hold onto her tighter.

"Is she asleep?" Joel asks me.

I nod.

"Hey guys!" Joey calls from the top of the beach.

"Shhhhh!" I point to Callie.

"Awe!" Everyone else runs down the beach to us.

"Is she actually sleeping?" Rachel asks.

I nod, switching my hands around, but still holding her tight so she won't fall.

"You two are the cutest!" Colleen whispers.

After a few minutes of everybody talking, Callie starts to move around.

I slowly wake to find that I'm at the beach and everyone is here.

"Hello there." Amelia whispers.

I smile at her, laying my head back in her chest.

"Honey, no, we have to go now." Amelia whispers in my ear.

I sigh and pull away from her.

"Alright, let's go shopping!!" Colleen squeals loudly.

We leave the beach and go to the mall.

"What store first?" Rachel asks.

"STARBUCKS!" Joey yells.

"Holy crap Joey!" Colleen covers her ears.

"Let's go!" Lizzie says. We all start walking to the nearby Starbucks.

Everybody orders, except for me.

"Alright Callie, what do you want?" Lizzie asks.

I write down my order and she tells the cashier. Moments later, all of our drinks are done and we're looking for another place to go. An idea pops into my head and I look at Amelia.

'Bookstore?'

"Oh, good idea, Callie!" She says, then we walk up to the rest of the group. "Callie wants to go to the bookstore." She tells Lizzie.

"Alright, Do you guys want to go to the bookstore?" Lizzie asks everyone.

Everybody says yeah, so we start to look for one. We find one, then go inside, the smell of books immediately fills my nose.

"I want to find my book!" Joey exclaims.

"Me too!" Colleen says.

We all start to look around, Amelia and I walk off together, holding hands.

"See any interesting books?" She asks me.

I shake my head, then continue my search to find a good book. I move to 'Fiction' section. I run my fingers along the books, until I finally see one that interests me.

'A Child Called "It"'

I look at the back of the book and read the description and decide that I like it. I show Amelia and she smiles.

"You want that one?" She asks.

I nod.

"Okay, let's go find everyone else then." She says, starting to walk away.

I grab her hand and pull her back, giving her a kiss. She kisses back and puts her hands on my hips, while I put my hands on the back of her neck. She pulls away. I tilt my head.

"We have to go find everyone else." She smirks.

I grab her hand and we walk away to go find the others. I make sure I have the book and hand it to Lizzie once we find them. Once everybody is done looking around, we pay and leave.

"Where to next?" Joey asks.

"Lunch?" Rachel looks at her watch.

"Yeah. Let's go." Joel says and we head to the food court.

"Wow!" Joey says as we approach the food court. "Usually it isn't this packed!" He says.

I finally see what he was talking about. The food court is pretty tiny, and there are a lot of people crowding it. I tug on Amelia's shirt. When she looks at me, I look straight at her eyes, fear in my own.

"Crap!" She exclaims a little bit too loud.

"What is it?" Colleen asks.

"Lizzie, Joel, the crowd." Amelia says, pointing to the crowd while looking at me.

"Oh no..." Lizzie mumbles.

"What is it?" Joey asks.

"Uh, just... something with Callie." Joel says.

"Alright, Callie, I'll try to distracts you when we go through, just try to focus on me." Amelia and I lock eyes. "Got it?" She asks.

I nod. We slowly take steps into the crowd, still locking eyes. I glance away for a second, catching a glimpse of everyone. My breathing quickens, so Amelia jumps into action and kisses me, taking my attention away from the crowd and into the kiss.

She pulls away, and looks into my eyes. Until we make it to a clear spot, that's all that we can do.

We finally get past the biggest part of the crowd, and now there are way less people.

"You good?" Amelia asks.

I nod, but really, I'm a wreck. I can feel my breathing quickening, and stare Amelia in the eye.

"Uh, guys, Callie and I are going to go to the bathroom quickly..." Amelia says, quickly grabbing me and leading me to the bathroom, where nobody is really at.

"Breathe, Callie. I know it's hard, but just breathe. In 4, hold 7, out 8." She says. I do as told, though it isn't calming me down.

I start to get really hot, and start grabbing at my clothes.

"Right, this part, I forgot about it." Amelia says. She leads me into a stall and I take off my shirt, which starts cooling me down, but not helping me calm down.

Ugh, I hate panic attacks.
