#Callie's P.O.V#
*3 Weeks later*
I wake up and groan, rubbing my eyes.I stretch my arm out and grab my phone from my bedside table, carefully so I don't wake Amelia.
I turn it on and check the time. 2:37.
Ugh. I slide off my bed, still being careful, and go to the bathroom.
I exit the bathroom, still feeling wide awake. A loud boom comes from outside, making me jump. I look out of my window as a flash of lightning appears and then vanishes.
Great. A thunderstorm. I hate thunderstorms.
I, shakily, climb back into the bed and try to get a feeling of security back, but can't.
I feel my breathing get ragged and I start to sweat.
Another loud clap of thunder hits and I start shaking more. Knowing that I won't be able to calm myself down, I turn to Amelia. I shake her shoulder, feeling bad bad out having to wake her up.
"Hmm?" Her eyes flutter open.
Breathing still abnormal, I look out the window and then back to her, hoping she takes the hint.
"Are you okay?" She asks, apparently too tired to comprehend what I did.
I slightly shake my head as she reaches to turn on the lamp. A dim light fills the room and I flinch.
"Oh!" She sits up straight.
I look down.
"Callie, deep breaths. Everything is fine, it's just a thunderstorm, I'm here, everybody is fine." She assures.
I grab my board off of my bedside table and start writing. 'Are you sure?'
Though it barely even looks.like words are written, she nods. "Do you want to go see Lizzie and Joel?" She asks, sighing slightly and rubbing her eyes.
I nod and look down.
"Hey, it's alright." She puts her hand on my shoulder and then grabs my other hand. We leave the room and walk down the hallway, Amelia knocks on Lizzie and Joel's bedroom door.
Footsteps lead to the door, and then it swings open. "Hm?" Joel groggily asks.
"Callie is-" Amelia doesn't get to finish before Joel looks at me and nods.
"Right... okay, Callie, everything is fine, breathe, Lizzie's here, Amelia's here, I'm here, we're all here and alive, helping you. Breathe." He says soothingly. He steps out of their bedroom completely and shuts the door.
His words calm me quite a bit and I sigh. I feel incredibly guilty about waking them up.
A huge boom of thunder and I jump, clinging onto the person who is nearest to me, which happens to be Amelia.
"Shhh.." She coos.
Not really being able to breathe at all anymore, the room starts spinning.
"Callie, I'm going to lay you down." Joel says, putting his hands on my shoulders and helping me lay on the floor. "It's okay, everything is alright." He coos.
