elliot was tall, but she seemed small to rome.

standing a little over six feet, he always feels superior over others. having to look down to talk to someone gives him pride, he gets off on it, all the while grinning ear to ear because he knows he's better than you.

"okay, ms. schindler, this is her class." she told him. a smile still was evident on her face as she handed his schedule back to him. he took it rather quickly and shoved It into his back pocket.

"cool. later, emma." rome waved absently at her, not bothered to thank her as he strolled into his classroom.

"elliot! it's elliot!" she sighed before walking off.

a low chuckle escaped rome's lips, he knew her name. he actually had quite the memory too. he didn't forget easily, just like, he didn't forget that dark skinned curly haired beaut.

she ran through his head suddenly, and it seemed impossible to get her out. he rolled his eyes at himself just as the bell dang and students began shuffling inside.

a couple girls eyed him up as they walked in. some with suggestive smiles and glints. he didn't think much of it though. it all went over his head now that he was used to it.

It wasn't until she walked in that his bored expression fell into a curious one. one that wanted to know more.

she truly was a sight. with her smirk that almost looked graceful, her dainty fingers tracked up to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear as she talked to another girl in the front of the class before it started. his eyes never left her. he couldn't help himself.

her body was clad in ripped denim jeans, rolled up at the bottom, a tight stripped t-shirt that brought out her curves exceptionally. it made him re-situate himself in his seat, so he was leaning his head in the other direction.

he hated that someone was captivating his mind.

"ok, everyone, settle down. take a seat. take a seat." with that the lesson began.

rome could hear the chatter lessen and footsteps scramble to their seats. he only turned his head then and when he did, he realized something changed in the atmosphere he was breathing.

it smelt like flowers, but not just flowers, like right after it rains, there's that smoky feel to the air and it makes you feel so alive, if that was a smell, that's what this was. that and hot cocoa. yes, an odd analogy, but beautiful at the same time. hot chocolate reminded rome of home and coziness; warm.

and then he saw it.

the curls that were sprawled out in front of him, tips of the hair on his desk. out of all the desks in the room, she chose to sit in front of him.
