rome had this sneaking urge to touch one of her curls. he wanted to touch more than just the hair on her head though. he wanted her.

it was stupid, but this happens a lot. rome wants what he can't have. the image of the boy who had his lips wrapped in hers erupted in his head, his face scrunched up. he hated him for even touching this girl.

he shook his head to himself, letting out a deepbreath and unclenching the fists he failed to notice he made.

"okay. everyone. so we'll be doing a quick ice breaker for the first day. just walk around the room and introduce yourself to at least three people."

a few groans were heard across the room. rome hated ice breakers, they always entailed him telling people about himself and he dreaded human interaction.

"chill or we'll go around the class one by one and share a fun thing you did this summer. now, go on. break ice." ms. shindler snickered at herself. rome could guess within a week, she'll be his least favorite teacher.

everyone was standing up before rome even noticed what was happening. he didn't know where to go, so he just stood up and awkwardly stood by his desk, waiting for the teacher to tell them to sit back down.

he did this until someone tapped him from behind. he turned around to see a brunette, nervously blushing up at him.

"hi, i'm meredith." she smiled.

"roman abernathy." he nodded at her.

"nice to meet you roman. do you play any sports?"

"no."

"are you a part of any clubs?"

"no." he absently crossed his arms over his chest.

"favorite thing to do?"

"sulk."

she frowned. "ooookay. nice to meet you." she politely smiled before moving onto someone else.

one down, two to go.

rome surveyed the room for another person who was by their lonesome, his eyes stumbled upon a asian boy, who, like rome, was sulking. a grin spread on rome's face, while he walked towards the boy.

"hey, man. i'm rome." he introduced himself, using his nickname for the first time today.

"rome? that's beautiful." a voice said behind him.

rome furrowed his brows, about to curse the person who interrupted his conversation with the boy until his eyes connected with familiar dark curls.

"i'm clementine." she grinned.

"talking about beautiful names." he said, grinning himself.

"ahem." the boy behind him cleared his throat. "am I mistaken or did you not talk to me first, buddy." the asian boy peaked around rome and walked to stand beside him.

rome rolled his eyes, glancing at him. "okay, what's your name?"

"sam."

"boring." he fake yawned.

clementine chuckled, shaking her head. it was beautiful for rome. she was beautiful. she tipped her head back a bit, holding her chest in her arms, her mouth forming a wholehearted smile.

his lips tugged upwards a bit.

"that's mean!" she said, once she contained her laughs.

"good." rome shrugged.

a daring glint appeared into her eyes and rome only became more intrigued to corrupt.

"okay. well, at least my name isn't italy's capital." sam scoffed.

rome rose a brow at him, "sammy, buddy, don't take it personal, I just-I mean look at her! why would I talk to you when she comes up and talks to me? hmm?"

"hormonal fucking teenagers like you do not belong in a high school." sam snarled before walking past rome and clementine to his seat.

rome bit back a laugh at the boys reaction.

"I can't believe you said that to him." clementine spoke, with a devious smirk.

rome liked that there was more to her than the giggles and hair tucking. even though he liked those cute things, he liked a girl who wasn't afraid to be wild.

"i only speak the truth, clementine."

"you can call me clem actually."

"clem." he tested, knowing it would never get old. maybe one day he would scream her name as she rode him. too soon, rome, too soon.

"we should probably go sit back down."

he only nodded in response, walking back to his seat, her trailing in front of him.

he stood back a few inches just to watch her hips sway. she was definitely a dream.
