( hey everyone ! before you read this story , i just wanted to apologize in advance if the quotes from the movie aren't exact . ill try my best to quote it exactly , but if they aren't , don't attack me . also , pennywise is mentioned very briefly in this book. georgie has been confirmed dead so they do not try to look for him. The losers also do have smartphones. )

eddie tapped his pencil on the rim of his wooden desk. he listened as the teacher explained a math problem that had been written on the board.

"will you stop that?" a soft voice spoke from behind the asthmatic boy.

eddie did as told and stopped tapping his pencil. his face was now bright red.

eddie felt a gentle tap on his shoulder and turned around.

"sorry if that was rude." the same voice spoke.

it was savannah. her eyes had been glued to the freckled boys face.

eddie nodded. "it's okay."

eddie's face was somehow brighter than before.

eddie thought savannah was beautiful and in multiple occasions had been caught staring at the brunette.

eddie wasn't the type of boy to ever date a girl like savannah.

savannah was loud, much like richie. she knew how to talk to people, eddie did not.

the two were polar opposites, but eddie loved that about her. he had always wanted to be outspoken, but that wasn't eddie.

"edward." the teachers voice called, noticing eddie wasn't paying attention.

"yes?" eddie soft, but raspy voice spoke.

"stay after class."

eddie's face flushed as he sighed.

his elbow rested on his desk, and his chin in his palm as he pretended to pay attention to his teacher.

the boy's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the bell ringing.

instantly, eddies teacher flared at him.

"sorry." savannah mouthed to eddie as she walked past his desk.

eddie ignored her, although it wasn't technically her fault.

"eddie," his teacher said in a very stern voice. "this hasn't been a very good year for you."

eddie's eyes turned soft. school was always important to the boy and he wanted to do good.

eddie simply nodded as his teacher scolded the small boy.

"have a good summer edward."

eddie sighed as he gathered his things and exited his classroom.

"hey." savannah has been waiting outside of the classroom for eddie.

"hi." eddie shyly spoke, not making eye contact with the girl.

"was that my fault?" she asked him, playing with her fingers as the two walked towards the doors.

eddie shook his head.

the two were interrupted by the sound of richie tozier's voice.

"what's this i see?" richie said in a horrible british accent. "eddie with a girl?"

stan simply rolled his eyes behind the trash mouth. "shut up richie."

richie ignored his friend and continued to make fun of the asthmatic boy.

"fuck off richie." eddie said, defending himself.

"we're just friends." savannah assured, although she couldn't deny her attraction to the slightly older boy.

eddie frowned at this, but the other four kids didn't take notice to his reaction.

bill approached the kids with a smile. "Nice t-to see y-you again s-sav."

savannah smiled at the boy, who she had known since she was in 2nd grade. the two were friends, but their friendship faded considering they had no classes together. eddie on the other hand, had four classes with the girl.

savannah had been close with everyone in their small group, but her friendships with each of them faded.

savannah began to frown. "betty's mom is here."

"do they really think they'll find her here?" eddie asked, not expecting an answer. "as if she'd been hiding in home ec these past few weeks."

savannah smiled at the boys attempt to lighten the mood.

"c-come on g-guys." bill stuttered.

"where are you going?" savannah asked, wanting to go with them.

"the sewers," richie told her, raising an eyebrow. "no place for a doll like you."

eddie scoffed at this. although the two weren't dating, he didn't want richie flirting with savannah.

stan quickly noticed the smaller boys flushed face and winked at him.

eddie quickly gave him a look that told stan he needed to stop.

"i want to come." savannah told them.

richie laughed. "you sure, eddie spaghetti here can barely walk two steps without gagging."

"don't call me that." eddie mumbled.

the walked away from the school, but didn't get far. before they knew it, henry grabbed richie's backpack, causing the boy to fall on top of savannah.

"hello there." richie winked, savannah rolled her eyes.

richie got off the girl and helped her up.

at this point, eddie's face was bright red. he didn't understand why he was so mad.

he didn't have a chance with her, and he knew richie could.

but what eddie didn't know is that savannah didn't want richie.

she wanted eddie.
