The rest of the trip went pretty smoothly. We teased each other and laughed, playfully shoving and pushing as we did. Ethan even went so far as to throw me over his shoulder as we traveled down the escalator.
We were acting almost the same as we had before anything happened. We had just added a bit more physicalness to our relationship and it was in a more intimate way. Honestly, I didn’t mind it.
Honestly, I enjoyed it.
We had stopped at almost every store, and twice at the food court, before we left. When we stepped outside the sky had turned black and covered itself with a blanket of stars.
“It’s so beautiful.” I breathed, my words escaping as a cloud in front of my face.
“It’s still nothing compared to you.” Ethan replied as he pressed himself against me.
“Oh please, you’re just trying to get lucky.” I snapped back teasingly.
“I already am.” he stated shifting his gaze down towards me.
I looked back up at him, genuine happiness dripping from his features. I grabbed the front of his hoodie pulling him towards me, and planted a soft slow kiss on his slightly chapped lips. He smiled as we parted, and I gave him a small one in return.
I still didn’t know exactly what I was feeling, but whatever it was I was okay with it, at least for the time being.
I only hoped Ethan was too.
