Chapter 25

Kate's POV

After what seemed like forever, the tunnel finally ended with it, we reached a brightly lit room, which kinda hurt my eye considering i hardly come across a room which is already lit up without any help by something or the other. I looked around my eyes trying to get used to this brightness. I noticed the floor had a checkered black and white kinda like that of a chess board pattern, the walls were cream and the ceiling didn't have a color..... umm...well I mean it does but I don't know how to explain its like you're staring at weird illusion, okay yeah that makes my eyes hurt, While I was checking the room out I saw it! A crystal, about time I sighed.

I ran to grab it but suddenly I stopped, unable to move. My pendant glowed White adding to the brightness but the light didn't hurt my eye. I grabbed the hint and tried to move my leg from stepping on the black to the white instead. It worked! My leg was actually able to move and my body was back to normal. Just like this my pendant guided me to the crystal.

I grabbed it and all of a sudden the place started quaking...I looked around for any possible exits but was unable to find one. While looking around I saw a spark and it was  slowly and steadily growing in the corner of the room, eventually coming near me, it wasn't till that that I finally saw it, the fucking exit, I sprinted in full speed to the very obvious door which had the letters E-X-I-T written on them in bright letters. I turned the knob and closed the door before the flamed could eat me. 

I took deep breaths of relief and, placed my hand on the chest to calm it down. I felt the pendant, it was warm, I finally stood up and my pendant glowed, lighting the room just right for me to see, I walked and walked and walked and walked......and walked......what the fuck why wouldn't this room end already...it has no end, and everywhere if the same thing, Like this I won't be able to tell if I've been here or not, this gonna be hard, like really very hard. 

My pendant stopped glowing and the place turned all....um...red. I heard screams, a girl screaming for help, the place turned into a maze, there were arrows pointing, where as to I must go. The screams and shoutings made my heart jump.  My pendant was in this case as good as useless. It wouldn't help me but then again all the directions are already give to me. I start walking forwards and I steeped on a booby trap and something fell on me making me scream. And I sprinted not wanting to see what just hit me, only thing I know was that it was heavy, like a stone. SHIT! It might be a crystal...but..what if it wasn't? I would be going back for nothing but..whatever I'm going back, though it could possibly kill me. I ran back my eyes staring at the ground, the screams and noise was really making my ears hurt and my vision a little blurry. 

I came to a halt. There it was a purse thing, I opened it there it was the crystal. I grabbed it and sprinted as fast as I could, there was something in my peripheral vision, and it wasn't pretty..... What the heck is going on.. I sprinted in all direction that I the arrows pointed to, I kept having the fell of someone watching me or following me.. and not just one but a lot.. maybe a 10 or 100...I'm not exactly sure.. Finally a door! I opened it asap and I see nothing, just a black space, nothing, no matter...  something came close to me and I could feel it's cold, freezing breath against my back and the hard body very close telling me to jump, my eyes tight shut. He pushed me, he wanted for me to die, he. All of this because of Him but I don't know whom.. I opened my eyes and saw my world collapse into a billion little pieces, it was..Austin...the person I trusted as much as my best friend, out of all people he would be the last person who I'd think would break my trust, warm tears started falling and floated, as I saw his face decorated with a wide grin. 

I floated into the nothingness, all I have is a pendant that wouldn't work anymore, and 3 crystals, one missing. All the colors that Ash told me about were here black, pink and purple, each having one of my initials on them, K-A-T. Only one missing of which I have no idea about. Just like how one letter is missing from my name, a part of heart was missing from me, I was incomplete. My pendant flickered colorful lights and the chain broke and its fragments floating into the thin air, only the heart was left in y hand now, I saw that it had E written on it. I opened it and...there it was, the last crystal. The most beautiful one I've seen in forever. I put them all together in my hand, a door come in the middle of nowhere and starts floating as well. I grab on to it and put all the crystals in it, one by one. After I was done. I started falling, and falling and falling. Suddenly my back hit something glass and everything after that was white, the last thing I heard was a scream.
