Ashlyn's POV
After about 15 minutes Zaire opened his eyes and slowly stood up.
"Did I pass out?" He asked in a very cute manner with his accent.
"Yeah you did" I replied
"Lord, for how much time?" He asked scratching his hair making it even more messy.
"About 10-15 minutes" I said smiling.
"Well I wasted a lotta time" He said giving an awkward smile.
"Well time cannot be rewinded or-
"No, my power doesn't give me the ability to rewind time." He answered before I could complete. "You are so predictable" He added, giving me a smile and a smirk.
"Ughh...even of this, what's the plan for us to get outta this place?" I asked, so done conversating with him already.
"Well, First we need to find a way to stop the main alarm that'd go off if we cross the blue line. Then we need to get those two lunatics close to us so that we could either trap them or kill them, then we need to find an scape route from this wacky place."
"ok..got'cha" I said "So.. how do we shut the alarm?" I asked really getting into this.
"Well we need to trigger the small bots so that we could get up there" he said pointing towards the ceiling, to a small grey button. "And how do we do tha-
Before I could finish Zaire pushed me into the fucking panel and an alarm went off setting little bots after me. "Better start fighting them" He grinned, cracked his knuckles and started to beat those things up. He took me by the hand, "Kick, Five o 'clock" He said and I kicked. "Punch in front", "Head smack" and "Finish"
We fought together and wow that was fun, really got that adrenalin flowing. "Now help me place them all together". I did as he asked and then he jumped at the top, took out a screw driver from outa nowhere and started blabbering to the button and clicked it.
"What did u just-
"Umm, well I just did two phases of our plan, First: To press the button that'll stop all the alarms and something that I forgot to tell you i.e, I disconnected the wires for the traps that'll stop us when we escape. Second phase: To get those morons here, I recorded a video that showed me and you and your friends all together, running outa this place. It should get to them in about half an hour or so. So we better get started with trying to locate your friends and see where they are" He explained.
I nodded in agreement with his last line. "Have you fully recovered?" I asked
"Yeah." He replied and asked who I wanted to contact, I said Alyssa, he focused his mind on contacting Aly. About 10 minuted later, he knitted his eyebrows together, "I can't seem to contact her" He said surprise, filling his words. "This is the second time this has happened" He said turning a little pale, he was afraid which made me worry.
"What happened the first time?" I asked trying my best to keep calm and remain steady.
"A person died." He said, coldness wrapped the atmosphere around me and I turned pale.
"Who?" I mumbled to him.
"My Mom." He said, no emotions in his voice, I placed my hand on his shoulder trying to sympathize but he removed my hand from his soldier, the atmosphere around me turned colder and scarier. I was scared now.
Suddenly, a door opened and there was a big glass tank that read
"CAUTION!! VERY EXPLOSIVE, VERY TOXIC"
As soon as I read that I saw them. I noticed that there was a black hole above the tank, it seemed like Zaire noticed it as well. He held my hand tightly and ran across the room, behind a wall.
"We know where you are so might as well come out" Came a voice. "Hmm....I repeat it, if you come out nice and easy I won't give you a punishment."
"No?" He said "Well, you asked for it!" He shouted a gun shot went off.
Zaire fell on the floor. "Zaire!" I Screamed. I ran to pick him up but he signed me to stay there and
*BOOM* a big explosion went off. I opened my eyes and saw Zaire having one of his hand up on his head and another on the ground. I went up to him.
"Zaire?" I asked
"Wait" He said, he put a pendant thing around my neck. "Go, pick up Kate's body and the pendant would take you to the hospital where you have to take her to the ICU"
I nodded as tears ran down my cheek, I grabbed Kate's body and the pendant transported us to the Hospital. I took her in asap. I was worried if something would have happened to her. I would be the person responsible! Her parents would never be able to forgive me. And what about Zaire? He probably finished all of his power on us and now what if he...what if he's dying? I can't even help him when he needs me the most. Tears were running down my cheeks faster than ever. My head was hurting.
"Ma'am are you?-
The last words that I remember before collapsing on the ground. I open my eyes to see myself on a hospital bed.
"Ma'am!!" A nurse called out "You should rest otherwise-
"Is Kate Wilson ok?" I asked
"Ma'am she'd be fine please rest!" She said
I ran from the room, to Kate's. There she was, her eyes closed.
"Is she ok?" I asked the nurse that was there
"Unfortunately, she's lost all of her memories" The nurse said in a sad tone.
"All of them?" I asked
"Yes, all of them..."
A nurse held me by the arm and took me to my room as I stood in shock. I collapsed once again. I woke up thinking should I be happy or sad. I'm happy that she's lost all the memories of our stay at the haunted house. Those memories aren't something that one would like to remember. But at the same time she doesn't remember her parents or her friends. Her parents would be devastated to know...
