Liam's POV
Me and Amber gasps in shock to what we saw. Nanigas kami sa gulat until someone grap our back. We stood and turned around it was a construction worker. Amber was about to scream nang biglang tinakpan ng worker ang kanyang bibig.
The worker told us to hide in the bush or we might get caught by other workers. "I'll return.. your lucky that the one who caught you both is nice" the worker said then left. We both sighed in relief.
Minutes later he returned and said "The coast is now clear". But before we all left the bush Amber grabbed the worker's hand and asked "What are you guys constructing? And does the mayor know about this?".
"We're constructing a casino and the mayor knows about it in fact he's the one who plots this all. The casino is even dedicated to his family". We're more shocked to what we heard unlike earlier. I knew it there is something up the mayor's sleeve.
Amber's POV
The worker told us to leave now and we did. Tumakbo kami palayo at umabot sa Southside bridge's river. Doon ay huminto kami. Niyaya ko si Liam to play skipping stones for the last time. "Wow kanina lang ayaw mo dahil magmumukha tayong bata" he said surprisingly.
"I just wanted to take the chance na makipag skip stones with you tulad ng dati dito before this place gets also taken from us" I replied. I noticed that nakaramdam din si Liam ng kirot sakanyang puso when I said that.
We skipped stones until night and we felt hungry. We moved to Lit burgers to eat something and feel our bellies. Lit burgers is an old food chain that is also a part of our memory. As usual Liam orders lots of burgers. What did I expect? Paborito niyang pagkain ang burgers.
I just ordered a hotdog sandwich. Both our orders came the same time. While enjoy fully eating. Liam told me how much anger he has for the mayor. "Don't worry your not the only one" I said.
Liam's POV
Amber asked me if how many precious places is the mayor gonna take from us.
I just told her to have a strong faith in God. I can see the relief in her eyes when said that. We finished eating and Amber payed the meal because you know....
