Miss Winters (Paused)

Chapter 1

My name is Melanie Winters but I prefer to be called Mel. I'm not going to explain my backstory, you will find out more about me as we go on. But I will tell you what central city knows about me.

They know me as a member of team flash or flash's side kick, because of my skill set which I required from being an Argus Agent.

Anyway, I'm in the cortex with Barry, in his base aka Star Labs, waiting for Caitlin and Cisco to return with drinks from Jitters.

The security alarms go off and I roll my eyes, "Who's breaking into star labs now?"

The amount of people who break into star labs, it's beginning to get boring.

"Hello again, Melanie Winters."

I turn around and I'm surprised to see my brother Rip Hunters standing there. Well, he's not my brother but we grew up together so he is like a brother to me.

Barry looks at both of us as Cisco turns the alarms off, "Who is this guy Mel?"

I smile, "An old friend. It's good to see you Rip, it's been a while."

He comes up to me and we hug. He is about to pull a device out his pocket but instead I grab it and smash it against the wall.

"Still up to your old tricks bro What brings you here Rip?"

He signs, "I'm putting a team together. I wouldn't have asked you to join but.... I need your help."

"You want me to call in the favour I owe you."

He nods, "I wouldn't have asked if I wasn't desperate."

"What favour?" Barry interrupts, "Who is this guy?"

I turn to Barry and go over to him, "Rip is a close friend who saved my life and then gave me a new one. I owe him and if he needs help, I must at least hear him out."

"Ok, but you better explain everything when you get back." Barry says.

"Fine, see you later Barry."

Then I leave Star labs with Rip, with a strong feeling my life is going to change. Again.
