(Link POV)

Zelda was going through the forest quickly as we worked to get to the nearest village before nightfall. Sure, there were no more of Ganon's monsters around but it was still dangerous with the wild animals that roamed around at night. Like wolves or bears, those things were merciless!

Once we made it to the village, a little girl ran up to us and tugged on Zelda's arm.

"Princess! Oh, Princess of Hyrule!!! Please! Follow me!!!" the little girl said before running off. We followed her to a station with messenger birds in the dozens lining the walls.

"Ah! Welcome! You must be the Princess that I was told to find! We have a letter from the Zora's! An urgent one!" the man at the counter said as he held out a letter with a blue, wax seal. Zelda looked at me before opening the letter and tilting her head.

"They wish for us to travel to Zora Domain for a grand celebration... the returning of royalty?" Zelda said, clearly confused. My eyes widened in shock before we decided to head out of the village first thing in the morning.

After we rested and stocked up on stuff for the journey, we headed out to the Zora domain. We would have teleported but our Sheikah slate but it wasn't necessary and Zelda and I could have gotten separated in the process. We traveled for a while and I cooked dinner every night. We were running short on time though and just barely made it to the Zora domain in time. Sidon met us at the entrance to the Zora domain. He walked us to the palace where the party was being held and when we looked around, you could see that everything was based around Mipha. I felt my heart drop at the thought of Mipha being gone... Zelda and I tried to become a couple but it didn't click for either of us... Mipha was still etched in my heart and I couldn't get her out of my mind recently. She even appeared in my dreams, alive and well. Sidon walked up to the stage and shook a bell to get everyone's attention.

"Everyone! I'd like to share some important news with you! Princess Mipha, my dear sister, will return to us this very night!!!" Sidon said. Everyone went silent, looking at each other in shock.

"But... how?" I whispered to myself.

"We placed Mipha's body in the chamber of rebirth here in Zora's domain and she has rested there for many years! We have found out from the elders that her rebirth will take place today when the moon rises over the chamber of rebirth! We have invited the hero, Link and the princess, Zelda to join us in the chamber to welcome our dear Mipha back to us!" Sidon announced. Everyone cheered and some people pat me on the back. Later that night, when the moon was almost completely risen in the night sky, Sidon brought Zelda and I too the Chamber of Rebirth. There, Mipha's body rested in a large block of ice, frozen in time. The moonlight suddenly flashed down onto the ice making the ice melt away. Mipha started to fall to the floor making my instincts kick in. I ran over and caught Mipha right before she hit the ground. I looked at her with wide eyes as she breathed softly in my arms. She was actually alive...

"Mipha..." Sidon said as he ran over and pet her head softly. He had tears in his eyes as Mipha breathed slowly, sleeping peacefully in my arms. "My dear sister..." Sidon continued before a tear fell down his cheek. I was in pure shock as I stared at Mipha... sleeping... not dead... but sleeping. She looked so peaceful and sweet and I couldn't help but smile.

"Link..." Zelda said. "Do you love Lady Mipha?" Zelda continued before placing her hand on my shoulder. I blushed and shrugged, unsure of how I felt.

"Link..." a soft voice said. I looked down at Mipha who looked up at me with half-lidded eyes. "Link... is that you?" Mipha said, her words slightly shaky.

"Yeah... Mipha.... It's me..." I said as I smiled at her, tears forming in my eyes as I looked into her yellow ones. She smiled and closed her eyes before giggling.

"I was afraid... I was so afraid..." Mipha said, her smile fading to a frown. She clenched her eyes tight and shook lightly.

"It's okay, Mipha... you're okay now..." I said, smiling at her. She sighed before her breathing slowed down and she fell back asleep.

"Link... Let's get her back to the palace..." Sidon said as he put his hand on my shoulder. I nodded and picked Mipha up slowly, walking through the palace and to her bedroom where I placed her carefully on her bed. She smiled and cuddled into the blankets. I sat in a chair next to her bed and watched her, waiting for her to wake up. Zelda ruffled my hair and everyone except me left.
