No Memories (Mipha x Link)

Morning Swim

(Link POV) 

I had fallen asleep as I waited for Mipha to awaken but when the sun shone through the windows, I shook myself awake. When I opened my eyes all the way, Mipha was peacefully curled up in the blankets. I smiled at her sleeping form before she groaned and her eyes fluttered open. She sat up slowly and looked over at me. 

"Link?" she said softly. I smiled and ran over to her, hugging her gently so I wouldn't hurt her. "Where am I? Why is everything so unfamiliar?" Mipha asked as she rested her chin on my shoulder. I pulled away with wide eyes before feeling Mipha's forehead. 

"Mipha... this is your bedroom...don't you remember?" I said with a concerned tone. Mipha looked down and sighed. 

"All I remember... is you Link... I only remember you freeing my spirit and defeating Ganon... that is all..." Mipha replied sadly. 

"Oh no... no, no, no... you can't lose your memories like I did..." I said, on the verge of tears. Mipha sighed and smiled at me. 

"I do remember... one other thing..." Mipha started. "I remember healing your wound on top of the Divine Beast, Va Ruta..." Mipha said with a pained smile. That's when I felt tears drop from my eyes. 

"When we were kids... when we first met... when you healed all my bruises..." I said sadly. Mipha hugged me gently and smiled sweetly. 

"It's alright, Link... my memories will not allude me for long... I promise you..." Mipha said softly. I started to let the tears drip down my face as Mipha hugged me, her touch gentle and caring. This was when I realized I was in love with Mipha. She pulled away from me and wiped my tears away. 

"Why don't we go for a swim like when we were kids?" Mipha asked with a smile. I nodded and we both left to go to a large lake nearby. I put on my Zora armor, leaving the helm off since Mipha always had liked my hair. I then dove into the water, Mipha following my lead. We swam for awhile, Mipha swimming in circles around me happily. Suddenly, Mipha was now where to be seen and something grabbed me by the ankle, pulling me underwater. I struggled to break free until I realized that it was Mipha who held my ankle. I held my breath before Mipha blew bubbles in my face. She motioned for me to try and breath. I did and was shocked to find that I was able to breath just fine! Mipha led me underwater to some underground ruins. We stood in the middle of the ruins and she looked at them sadly. I turned to her and lifted her chin to face me before I pressed my lips to hers gently. She kissed back until we parted and swam to the surface. 

"Mipha..." I started. "I-I think I'm in love with you...." I said shyly. Mipha's eyes widened and she blushed madly.

"Link... I think I'm in love with you too..." she said. I smiled and chuckled before pulling her close, kicking my legs to keep us above the water. I pecked her lips and we climbed out of the lake, heading back to the palace.
