(Mipha POV)

Link had been staying in the Zora domain for quite some time now and I had regained a few memories that I shared with my father, brother, and Link. I remembered very little, but I was curious to explore outside of the world of water that I knew. I longed to see the forests and swim in the waterfalls that weren't lined with ice or silver!

"Link!" I said as I glomped the warrior. "I want to go see a forest! I'm too curious to stay here, in the Zora's domain!" I said quickly as I shut my eyes, afraid of my over-protective boyfriends response. He chuckled and pat my head as he smiled at me.

"I've been waiting for you to say that!" Link said with a gleam in his eyes. My eyes sparkled in excitement and I rushed to pack my things. I brought only what I could carry in my small bag.

When the sun rose in the morning, Link and I headed through the gates of the Zora domain and into the huge outside world I had forgotten. I was skipping joyfully as Link watched, laughing and blushing at my immaturity. I stopped when we got to a ledge. I looked over the edge into the fog that was below before I jumped into Link's arms in fear. He chuckled and held me close.

"Don't you worry, Lady Mipha... I won't let anything happen to milady!" Link said as he drew his sword and jokingly threatened the foggy abyss at the edge of the cliff. I giggled and grabbed Link by the arm as I saw large, serpent-like thing in the grass. I gasped and ran to Link who was picking apples. He widened his eyes at my frighted form which clung to his body like I had seen a ghost.

"What's wrong, Mipha?" Link asked with concern. I was shaking slightly as my eyes fixed on the grass moving where I had seen the serpent.

"There.... IS A SERPENT IN THE GRASS!!!!" I yelled as I pointed to the scaly thing in the grass. Link laughed and picked me up bridal style, making me blush brightly.

"Mipha... It's only a snake..." Link said as he walked over and gave me a better view of the creature. When I saw it, I shrieked and clung to Link's shirt.

"I don't like it!" I cried out. Link walked away from the snake and sat me down on a log before he cupped my face. He pecked my lips and smiled.

"I will protect you no matter what, Lady Mipha. You are my everything!" Link said with the brightest smile I had seen him wear in a while.
