The Disappearance of Annie Leonhardt

Emergency Room

Armin opened the door to Annie's hospital room. He found her sleeping on the bed, and breathing with given oxygen.

Armin closed the door, and stood by her on her left. She was so tiny, and weak.

All her trimmed hair had outgrown, and Annie was so small she barley fit in the gowns the hospital nurses put her in.

Annie looked like Armin, before Armin became muscular from basketball.

Armin tucked Annie in, before he sat down beside her.

He studied her face for a moment, before he grabbed her left bandaged hand and gave it a soft kiss.

Armin rubbed her hand softly.

"So, what are Annie's conditions?" Asked her father.

Him, Grisha, and Carla along with Armin's parents were outside of the waiting room.

Grisha scratched his head.

"Well....she used to weigh 119 Ibs. Correct?" He assured.

"Correct." said her father.

"Minus that with 81." Grisha said. Annie's father placed a hand on his head.

Annie was 38 Ibs. She was nothing but skin and bones.

"Oh my...what about her wrists?"

"My guess is that she tried to pull herself free...and...you wouldn't believe the X-ray images." Grisha whispered the last part.

"Tell me...I'll managed." Her father said. Grisha looked up, worriedly.

"It'll be easier if I just show you." Grisha said.

Her father shrugged and followed Grisha. Armin's parents, and Carla followed them too.

Grisha turned on the light, looking extremely squeamish.

Annie's father looked at him concerned, and froze once he saw the images.

"Oh my God..." Carla gasped, once seeing the damage.

The door opened with a harsh swing. Armin looked over and found Mikasa and Eren.

"Jeez Mikasa, the door has feelings too." Eren said.

Armin just sat there, looking at them, knowing why they were here.

"How is she-" Mikasa's face froze, once she actually got a look at Annie. Mikasa placed a hand over her mouth. "Oh my..."

"It looked worst in the basement." Armin said.

"I bet....oh my god..." Mikasa went off, and leaned against Eren for warmth and protection.

"Jean said he and Marco will be in." Eren said.

"Good. I'm gonna need their comfort and support." Armin said.

He still hasn't let his gaze off of Annie.

"And um...CIA Levi Ackerman is here." Mikasa said. Armin looked up.

"Why is he here? We found her, the case is over." Armin said.

"I'm not sure why he's here, all I know is that he wanted to speak to you." She said.

Armin nodded, and looked back at Annie's face.

"Let him in." He said. Mikasa and Eren left, when Levi came in.

Levi stood by the door, looking at Armin while Armin still looked at Annie.

"You alright?" He asked, referring to what happened with Armin and the kidnapper down in the basement.
