We arrived at my house we was just chilling I got up to go to the bathroom til I heard screaming I sprinted back downstairs "WHATS WRONG" I yelled worried running to them "girl when you give melo your number why he texting your phone why his name got daddy in it" Liyah asked I smacked my lips cause I really thought someone hurt they self or some shit I snatched my phone back I read the text it said "come to the park at 4" "so when was you finna invite us to come wit Chu" Nique asked I rolled my eyes

"Did y'all not hear him at lunch" I said confused "no bitch he has his lips pressed against your ear so nobody could hear shit" she laughed with the bitch really face "y'all tryna come" I asked "fuck you thi-" I cut her off putting my hand up in her face "it's a simple yes or no ain't need no attitude" I said she smacked it away "ooouuu I hate you sometimes" she glared at me I smiled wide

We just chilled I texted melo back saying okay I got up around 3 off the couch so I could go change into something more comfortable(outfit above) I grabbed my phone and keys and we left my parents were still working so I was free to do whatever we stopped by the bodega grabbing some snacks then continued walking to the park it was only up the street

We arrived seeing all the boys playing ball all of them shirtless not even gone lie I low key stared at all of them til don noticed smirking at me "ayo lani quit staring at me and the bros and get to the stepping!" He yelled laughing at me melo saw me jogged over hugged me said what's up and went back to playing us girls just went and sat on the swings for a while talking til the ball rolled over to us I picked it up walking over to them the girls following

I stood on the free throw line and shot it missing the boys laughing "damn lani your trash" Eli laughed "shut yo black ass up before I really cook you ain't my fault I don't ball" I said don was literally rolling on the floor laughing "alright daijon don't laugh too much wit ya extra long self" I said the boys bust out laughing don got up looking mad "awe now he mad" I laughed he smacked his lips "man fuck you" he said I continued to laugh trying to shoot missing even more times everyone had started doing something else

I went shoot til melo came up to me snaking his arms around my waist "lemme help you" he said I shook my head okay he me pulled back onto him mind you this boy was shirtless and my ass was literally on him he positioned my hands and put his over mine and I shot and it went in I smiled at him I realized the park got really quiet I looked around to see everyone watching melo and I liyah smirking "aweee look at my sons!" Don yelled I flipped him off parting from melo "I gotta get home see y'all tomorrow" I said us girls walking away they started playfully shoving me back and forth to each other "lani definently still likes melo" nique said

"Alright so what if I do don't mean we'll date he a hoe remember" I said "girl I give it a week y'all will be together" liyah laughed us parting me going down my street them going to theirs I continued to walk til someone yelled my name I looked back and it was melo and don running to me I stopped so they could catch up we started walking again "so what y'all fucking on the low now" don asked i shoved him "why it always gotta be some bullshit coming out of ya mouth nigga" I said annoyed by his presence "nah we not fucking yet" melo said I looked at him like nigga what "nah we not fucking ever" I said

He smacked his lips "keep lying to ya self girl" he said putting his arm around my shoulder us continuing to walk we dropped off melo "I see you still like him" don said "no I don't" I said "why you lying to me bruh I can see you still do" he said "cause I don't need you going and running ya mouth to him about what I say" I said "what do you mean you know I don't be telling nobody our secrets" he said "right but Eli said ur the one who told him I used to like him" I said "that was an accident it slipped I would never do it on purpose" he said "man whatever don" I said walking closer to my house

He was so engaged into sitting here tryna convince me to tell him about melo he ain't even realize we passed his house he sighed and ran home

I walked in greeting my mother in the kitchen I told her how my first day went and everything obviously leaving out the part about the stuff melo did I was then mushed in the back of the head "move ugly" my lil 11 year old brother said pushing past me I scoffed "ole annoying ass jit" I said "language" my mom warned I rolled my eyes going upstairs

I changed into pajamas and flipped onto my bed I wasn't just gonna skip dinner man I was tired asf I hate school I was just watching tv my phone dinged indicating I got a text it was from melo mind you it's like 11:30

Before I could finish typing his name came up asking for a FaceTime I made sure I looked presentable and answered "what you need" I asked harshly "damn I just wanted to see yo fine ass" he said I left putting him on pause to hide my smile "I know you did not just put me on pause come back on the mf screen" he said I did and we talked for like the rest of the night

Til I started to feel sleepy but every time I would try and say bye and leave he wouldn't let me so I put him next to my bed to where you could see me laying down and I drifted off to sleep
