I woke up lani was already awake but she was on the phone with somebody the person on the phone was being loud asf they sounded mad as hell lani hung up saying bye looking irritated "hey I gotta go my mom is Wylin rn she want me home" she said getting up getting all her stuff together "awe stay just a little longer" I complained

"I can't it's 10 I already broke curfew she finna rock my shit when I get home" she said me laughing "aight I'll walk you" I said getting up "nah bruh if she see I was late because of you she gone nuff the both of us on god" she laughed me also she kissed my cheek and quickly left I FaceTimed quan he had some girl all laid up on him idk who she is wasn't my business anyways so I wasn't gonna ask about it

LANI POV

I literally ran home I tried to sneak in past the living room from the back but she was sitting right on the couch "lil girl where was you at?"she said mad "I umm uh-" she cut me off "QUITE THE STUTTERING TALK LIKE YOU GOT SOME DAMN SENSE" she yelled "I was at lamelo's" I said quietly "girl speak up you making this worse on ya self rn" she said I sighed "I was at melo house" I said I wasn't gone even try and lie she would fuck my shit up "oh that lil nigga you got word i know your young I don't mind you having a boyfriend but you still living in my MF house you gone respect my rules you heard" she said

"Yes ma'am" I said quietly looking at the ground "GIRL PICK YA HEAD UP WHEN IM TALKING TO YOU" she yelled I think I broke my neck looking back up so quick she was really buggin tf out rn "oouuu real talk you so lucky yo daddy locked up or he would've been beating yo ass rn" she said "you dead lucky I'm too tired to beat yo ass don't do that shit again or its gone be a real issue you heard me now go upstairs" she said looking mad annoyed wit me rn I bolted up the steps

Trey was standing by his door quietly laughing pointing at me i mushed him in the face rolling my eyes going into my room

I woke up getting ready i was dressed super comfortable today I sat down at the island in the kitchen my mom was making breakfast she was still mad asf and my mom mad petty fr she gone low key throw the plate down infront of me instead of setting it down I looked at her she smiled god this woman but I finished I was about to leave "aye Dre coming down here tonight make sure your home ON TIME" she said just great my older brother I fr hate his ass that just ruined my whole mood I said bye and left seeing melo pull up the drive way I got in "hey dip" I smiled "wtf I tell you bout dat damn name" he said

"Nigga what you want me to call you" I asked laughing "daddy" he smirked me rolling my eyes "foh you my son" I said he smacked his lips we arrived at school everybody met up in the cafeteria we walked in together sitting at the table "so we just gone act like y'all didn't ignore each other for a whole week" quan said melo put his arm around my shoulder pulling me to him "I don't recall that happening lani do you" he asked "nope" I said "wow so that's how y'all is finna do us" he said holding his chest acting hurt

"Quan mind yo buisness and worry bout that shawty you had laid under you last night" he said I gasped "oouuu nique quan is cheating" liyah said nique ain't say nothing "what bitch was at yo house quan disrespecting ma girl like that" I said "man y'all don't worry bout it" he said I was gonna ask don but he was nowhere to be found matter fact neither was Eli I just let it go my phone went off I got a text from Dre him telling me about when he was coming I groaned don't get me wrong I'm happy I get to see him cause he still live in New York he just overprotective and if my mom bring up melo it's gone be a problem

"Yo what's wrong?" Liyah asked "Dre is coming down here" I said "oouuu yess finally his fine self been gone to mf long" she said I laughed rolling my eyes "who is Dre?" Melo asked becoming defensive "my older brother" I said "wait you got another brother" he asked looking confused I shook my head "melo you better hope y'all don't meet he'll shoot yo ass for even talking to her" quan laughed "facts he in a gang don't play wit his shit" nique laughed I rolled my eyes they making him sound like a terrible person rn the bell rang and we all went out separate ways to class

Melo and I were sitting in class "psst" he whispered "what melo" I groaned because I was actually trying to do my work "what we doing after school?" He asked "nothing my brother coming"I said "Yo I'm not tryna go to the movies by myself tho" he said "ask daijon or phaquan" I said trying to ignore him "don hanging wit Kaliah and ion like quan dumb ass" he said "my mom already mad at me I can't go" I said he wasn't taking no for an answer tho "you'll be back before 8 just come wit me" he continued to whine

"Fine I will but if my momma beat my ass because of you me and my brother gone fuck yo shit up you heard me" I said he playfully rolled his eyes going back to his work
