On a Shipping Spree

- Kinkajou's POV-

"Ripnami," I said as I scribbled onto my notebook. "Glorybringer, Cleril, Starspeaker."

I frowned at the last one. "Maybe not Starspeaker. Fatespeaker and Starflight don't really interact a lot. Maybe ... Sunnyspeaker? Nah, they're only best friends. I never knew shipping would be this hard."

I erased the word 'Starspeaker' and closed my Journal Of Ships, shoving it into my glittery yellow backpack.

"What are you doing up at Five AM?" My sister, Glory, poked her head through the door and squinted in the bright light. Then she recovered her wits, raising an eyebrow. "Not plotting future relationships, I suppose?"

"You got that right, miss!" I shouted. "I have to make at LEAST ten ships sail by the end of this school year. It shouldn't be that hard. At least, yours shouldn't be that hard." I winked.

Glory snorted; I could just barely make out the hint of a blush on her cheeks.

"Oh, come on," I pleaded. "Deathbringer looooves you."

Glory began picking knots out of her silky green hair. "Yeah, and I love Mr. Overprotective just as much as I enjoy math class.

"I feel like eating." she said, hastily changing the subject. "Let's go."

We took the elevator two floors down to the kitchen. There's also a nice, curvy staircase lined with golden bars, but it's under construction. Our parents want to replace the marble stairs with wooden ones.

Once we reached the table, I pressed a red button and a servant came over. "Pancakes with strawberry sauce and raspberries please, PRONTO!" I bellowed.

"Just the usual, thank you." Glory regally placed her hands on the table, examining her nails.

Soon, the servant ran over with my beautiful strawberry sauce covered pancakes topped with gleaming raspberries, and ... a soppy, gray bowl of oatmeal covered in pieces of fruit just to decorate it.

"Seriously, how do you even like that junk?" I glanced at the oatmeal, pretending to blanch. "It's so gray and colorless and gross and foggy and ... it's just oatmeal."

"It's not that bad." my sister answered.

Finishing my breakfast, I slid off my seat and ran to the elevator, headed for the third floor. I still had about one hour before school, so I turned on some nice romantic music in the ballroom and started planning how to get my one true pairings to notice each other.

"Let's see," I tapped a finger against my chin. "Deathbringer constantly saves Glory from so-called danger. One day she has to start showing her feelings for him.

"Clay's a pretty nice guy. He should deserve someone who keeps him on his feet, and always lives the moment, like Peril. I could plan an invisible date for them and take the couple to a hotdog place. Hey, they could even play the pocky game, except with hotdogs! Kinkajou, you're a genius!" I high-fived myself.

"Maybe I could just wait and see who Starflight ends up with. Both Sunny and Fatespeaker sound like pretty nice options. Maybe they could all date in a threesome? Nope. One, those never work out, and two, GROSS!

"Tsunami and Riptide, uh, they both like YouTubing and stuff. It'd be real cute if they showed up in a video together."

"Kinkajou, time to go!" Glory screamed from upstairs.

"Already?"

"No, I just set the clock back an hour to be annoying," she snorted sarcastically. "Let's go."
