Lexi stomped up to her room in a rage of fury. She slammed the door and fell onto her bed. she tried to smell the scent of home, but it didn't smell like it any more. it had been take over by three men who she didn't even know. Lexi watched her fish swim back and forth between the glass walls of the tank. It calmed her down. Lexi lost all track of time when she heard a knock on her door. "Go away." She said. The knock came again. "I said go away." She said louder. She heard a click in the door. It opened revealing Brielle. "Oh I thought you were one of them."
"Would they know to open your door with a bobby pin?" Bri asked her while she sat on the bed.
"Ha no."
"What are you doing."
"Wondering how the hell this all happened. How could she leave us with people we don't even know?"
"I don't know, I wish I did, but I think we're stuck with them." Lexi popped up.
"Unless, we get them to leave, we could be so bad that they just can't take anymore of us that they will leave!"
"Lexi, are you sure that's safe? I mean that could just make them mad."
"Ugh fine, but I still don't see why we need them."
"Maybe cause we're still kids who need adults in our lives." Bri offered.
"How could you say that Bri? We would be fine on our own."
"I don't think we would."
"Stop ruining my thoughts!"
"Sorry! I'm just saying, we wouldn't even know where to start when keeping the house going, food, clothes, bills."
"Fine!"
"But, I actually came up to get you. All the guys are downstairs waiting for you. They want to talk to us."
"Well like hell if I'm going down there!"
"They said they would bring you down by force if you didn't come down willingly."
"Gosh, they sound like the police!"
"Please just come down."
"No."
"Lexi! Please. Don't provoke them!"
"Brielle you can go down there and tell them I'm not coming down. That's final."
"Fine Lexx, but you are digging your own grave." Brielle said as she rose from the bed and walked out the door.
Lexi laid on her bed, still staring at her fish. She didn't even realize that she had fallen asleep.
*********
Lexi woke up with hunger pains in her stomach.
Ugh, I forgot to eat. Damn it.
She quietly crept from her room, into the dark hallways. She headed straight for the kitchen. Once there she grabbed two water bottles, and just as she was reaching for an apple inside it's bag the lights turned on. Lexi quickly spun around to see who had turned them on.
"Hello Fluffy." Lexi glared at Dallas, her heart racing. He stood with plaid pajama pants hanging low on his waist line. His shirt was a simple dark blue V-neck. "Do you need something?" She asked coldly.
"No, just heard a noise so I came down to check."
"I didn't make any noise."
"Okay, so I was already up and sitting in the living room."
"And you saw me. That's creepy."
"What are you doing."
"Gathering food so I can hibernate in my room, so I don't have to see and deal with you and your other species."
