Lexi paced the study while debating whether or not to tell the truth or stick to her story. Her stomach gave a rumble. She hadn't eaten since breakfast.

Ugh what am I doing? Just go along with the story damn it!

Lexi lifted up her head, nobody was gonna keep her locked away. Lexi walked up to the door, she shoved it open. Dallas looked up to see her from the couch. She strode out a few steps before she saw him and stopped. "Have you come to tell us the truth?" He asked. Lexi answered with a blunt "No." She started walking away from the doors. He pointed his finger back to the study, "Dont you dare take another step." She haulted and glared at him. She slowly and purposefully took a step, just to push his buttons. "You take one more step and I can garentee you a trip over my knee." Dallas said. She considered her options, which weren't that great. "It's your choice, the truth, or a good view of the carpet which is it gonna be?" Lexi let out a scream of frustration, turned around and went back into the study, slamming the doors. Lexi flopped onto the couch in anger. Her stomach was hurting from the hunger. "Gah, I hate you Dallas King!" She yelled loud enough for him to hear. "You'll come to love me." He shouted back.

Lexi laid on the couch for seemed like an eternity. She had tried to hack the computers password, but it was no use, that was Brielle's area of expertise.

The double doors to the study opened revealing Jace with a plate of food. He closed the doors and came and sat next to her. He offered the plate to her, "What's the catch?" She asked eyeing the plate.

"Maybe a little bit of truth."
Lexi didn't know if she could resist the smell of fresh pasta and grilled chicken. He taunted it before her, "Come on, just tell me what happened." Jace said. Lexi reached for the plate and he pulled it from her reach. "The truth?" He said holding away from her. Lexi but her lip, the food smelled so good and her stomach was demanding nutrients. "Fine, just give me the plate." He handed the plate over and Lexi chowed down on the pasta and chicken. Jace gave her a glass of water in which Lexi gulped greedily. Finally when she was done she swiped the back of her hand across her mouth. Jace sat foreword and asked her again, "You goning to tell me the truth now?" Lexi turned her head away, if she just told him maybe she could leave the study. But she didn't have to tell the whole truth. "Like I said, I went for a run up the mountain it took about an hour and a half. I got to the top of the mountain and I fell alseep up there for like two and a half hours. When I woke up I was sun burnt and I wanted to get back quickly so I came back a different path, a faster path. I was running down and I fell. That's when I hurt my leg. Then I came home. That's it."

"And the hair?"

What about it?"

"Why was is wet?"

"I told you it rained." Lexi said as she twisted her ring on her finger.

"I wouldn't lie to me. It didn't rain." Jace said with a calm yet firm voice.

Lexi refused to let her safe haven go.

"Well it rained where I was." Lexi stated. Jace grabbed her face in his hand holding unto her jaw and chin. He gave a slight squeeze just to make her uncomfortable. "I said don't lie to me." Lexi clawed at his hand, but he wouldn't budge. "Tell me the truth young lady because I am tired of your constant lies." He released Lexi's face and she held it with one hand attempting to rub the pain away. Lexi stood her ground, there was no way in hell she was going to tell him. "Look I told you what I did and I'm not telling you anything else so go to hell cause I'm done talking." Lexi spat at him. Jace grabbed the back of Lexi's neck and folded her over his lap. He pinned her arms behind her back and delivered ten smacks to her already abused backside. He kept her down and she constantly struggled in his grasp. "You done being disrespectful?" Lexi shut her mouth in response, and Jace gave her several more smacks to get an answer. Lexi yelled at him, "Let me go now! I told you the truth!" He answered her with another smack. "I'm not letting you up until I get the truth."

"And I'm not telling."

"Then I guess we will be here a while." Jace told her with another swat. After that Jace kept a smacking with a harsh rhythm. Lexi took her punishment silently and forced herself to not cry. Several minutes went by and Jace paused for a moment, "Have you had enough yet?"
Lexi was defiant and answered with a smart ass comment, "You done being a bitch yet?" Jace's face reddened and with as much force as he had, he spanked her. Lexi's ass was burning and she squirmed, tired of the punishment. "I don't think ten minutes with the soap in your mouth did much good, seeing as you still can't control your tongue." Jace told her.

"Well if you stopped abusing me I wouldn't use such beautiful language."

"I would hardly call it 'beautiful' language. Now are you tired of being in this situation yet? This is what the third time you've gotten a spanking since we've been here. And it's only been a few days. Must be a record."

"I just have a very free spirit. I don't like authority that I don't even know."

"Well then I'm sure you'll find yourself in this situation many more times if that is the case."

"Great." Lexi said sarcastically.
There was a silent pause.
"Will you please just tell me what you're hiding and I can let you up?" Jace asked, his soft side seeping through. Lexi used all her might to push herself away from Jace and as soon as she was off she stood up. "Just let me keep my secret place! You have invaded my home, my life, my school everything! Just let me have my one place that is mine! It's not dangerous it's just the place I go to think! I don't want to tell you cause I don't want you to take it away from me." Lexi said exasperated. Jace studied the beat up teenager. "It didn't rain, I'm assuming there's a pond or a lake."
Lexi looked at the floor, "Yes there is. I promise I was on the mountain the whole time."
"So that's the truth then?"
"Yes."
"Was it that hard to tell me?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"Where do I start? You've barged in on me, on my life and I like my freedom. I don't do well with authority figures and rules. I wanted to keep my place secret so when I get pissed off at you guys which I'm guesses is going to be frequent I can go there I won't be able to follow me." Lexi ranted.
"And that's it?"
"Oh I'm sure I could find other things that bother me, but for now yes, that's it."
"Look I'm sorry you feel invaded, but we are here to help you along in life, to guide you. You're just a kid, you need people in your life to watch you, to correct you when you do wrong. You need a firm hand as we are learning, but it doesn't mean we are trying to hurt you and ruin your life. We want the best for you."
Lexi was quiet for a moment, "You make it seem like I'm the bad guy."
Jace pitied her, "You're not, you're just confused."
"Ha, thanks." Lexi said.
"Okay well size you've told the truth you can leave the study." Lexi's head snapped up and smile playing on her lips. "Really?" Jace nodded. Lexi went to the door, Jace cleared his throat to get her attention. She turned to look at him, he pointed to her glass and plate. Lexi imeadiately picked them up and went to put them in the kitchen sink. After doing so Lexi raced up to her room. She closed the door and went to her bathroom ready to shower. She hadn't realized that Jace was as kind as he was. He wasn't the monster she had thought he would be.
