Lexi was still on the floor when a knock on her door came. She hadn't noticed the light start to peak through her window, the note was crumpled in her hand, her knuckles white. The knock came again. She didn't answer. She heard the door open, and after a few seconds, it closed. She assumed whoever it was left. She wanted to kick the flowered backpack. She wanted to throw it out the window, set it on fire, show Jonathan exactly what she thought about it. Instead, she drug it to her closest and hid it. She looked at the note one last time and threw it away. She barely pulled herself together for school, she wasn't in a mood to go to school. She wasn't in a mood for anything, she wanted to end Jonathan. She wanted him to suffer for what he had put her through. She couldn't understand his obsession with her, she also couldn't believe he'd moved to her town just to be able to screw with her. Lexi left her room and went downstairs, she avoided Brielle and Greyson by nodding to them when they greeted her, but her mood was fouling very quickly. Garrett said something in her direction, and she didn't respond, so he said it again, and again, she ignored him. Garrett stopped her and asked the question again, she didn't even hear him, blood was pounding in her ears and her heart was racing. The stalker was enough to put her on edge, but the backpack of drugs was sending her overboard. She knew that they would find it. She had guilty written all her face and she knew she couldn't let them see it. "Go fuck yourself," Lexi said not even bothering to look at Garrett. She wasn't surprised when he roughly took her arm and dragged her to the study. She was over his knee in an instant. His leg propped up on the couch and Lexi draped over his thigh. The pops were painful, but they didn't make a difference compared to the hurt in her heart. Her eyes filled with tears, not because she was being spanked, reprimanded like a child, but because she desperately wanted to confess to someone one what was happening to her, and yet she couldn't do it. She would have to confess to stealing and lying and the drugs, and if she did that she could get her siblings expelled along with her, or even get the King brothers fired. She didn't know how long she had been over Garrett's leg, but her ass was beginning to sting. She attempted to push up from his leg but he pushed her back down forcefully and continued her punishment. "Alright! I'm sorry!" Lexi exclaimed.

"I'm going to make sure you're sorry little girl." He said with another painful smack. Lexi kicked out her legs when she realized he wasn't going to stop any time soon. "I said I was sorry!" she repeated, really starting to struggle against him. "Stop squirming." He commanded as he hitched her hips higher. "Your foul language and attitude are not going to be tolerated, young lady." Lexi started to verbally indicate she was in pain with "ouches" and "ows" and the myriad of curse words that she kept to herself. It felt like a decade before he stilled his hand. He brought her to her feet none too gently and the glare he pinned her with made her feel small.
"Why?" he asked.

"Because I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone." She admitted.

"Just because you are not in the mood does not mean you get to use words like that and be rude. You got me?"

"Yes, I got you. I'm sorry."

"Great, now go get ready for school." Lexi left the room quickly and ran upstairs, she grabbed her backpack and went to wait in the truck.

"What's the matter with you?" The familiarity of Quinn's voice was an anchor in a storm, and Lexi held onto it. "Nothing, just stuff," Lexi answered and opened her eyes.

"What kind of stuff?" Quinn pressed.

"You are nosy," Lexi stated and waved a pencil in his direction.

"And you wear your heart on your sleeve. Now, out with it."

"If "it" was something to talk about don't you think you'd be the first to know?"
