What The Fudge Just Happened

Tryouts

Lexi walked back into her room, she picked a piece of gum out of her drawer and shoved into her mouth. She smiled at herself, she didn't have the piece of soap in her mouth more than a minute. She only had a little bit of time before they would be heading to try outs. She put her stuff in a duffel bag and put a t-shirt and shorts on. She pulled her tennis shoes on and went down stairs. She threw some ice in her water bottle and filled it up with water. She grabbed an apple from the counter and waited for her brother and sister. She didn't have to wait long, they came barreling down the stairs chasing after each other. Greyson reached out and pulled Brielle's pony-tail, jerking her back and ran in front of her. "As always, I have won." Greyson gloated.

"Only because you cheat." Brielle panted.

"Please we all know I could beat both of you." Lexi spoke up.

"Fine Lexx, let's all get a warm up for tryouts, a race in the park a few streets down. It'll starts start at the park, you have to go all the way around and then come back here." Greyson challenged.

"Oh you are on brother." Lexi glared.

"Psh, I have this in the bag, and no cheating, cough cough Greyson." Brielle said.

"Alright then let's go." Lexi said leading the way to the door.

They walked down block and entered the park, the side walk was just big enough for the three of them.

"Okay here we go, I'm gonna kick both of your asses." Lexi told them.

"Don't hold your breath Lexx." Brielle said to her.

"On your mark, Get set, GO!" Greyson yelled. And they were off. Greyson and Brielle both surpassed Lexi, but she kept her cool. Both Greyson and Brielle sprinted for their sport, but during soccer you kept running the whole game. A few minutes passed and Lexi caught up the her siblings and passed them, she could hear them breathing hard, but she felt fine, just a little longer to the house, oh yeah she was gonna win. Lexi pumped her legs faster. She could see the house, she sprinted into the door and let a whoop. As she walked into the kitchen the sight she saw made her jaw drop. Both Greyson and Brielle were sitting at the bar, smiling at her.

"Alright how the hell did you both get here before me?" Lexi demanded.

"If you are asking if we cheated, we can neither confirm nor deny that." Brielle said.

"Because we totally didn't cut across the park." Greyson told her.

"Cheaters! I totally won! You both disgust me. I am ashamed to be related to you." Lexi said dramatically. From above the stairs they heard a voice, "Are you guys ready?"

"Ready." Brielle called. Garrett descended down the stairs holding a folder.

"What's that's for?" Greyson asked.

"It's for Dallas, something for school." With that both Jace and Dallas came into the kitchen. "Let's go." Jace said.

After the short car ride they all got out, Lexi, Brielle and Greyson headed for the locker rooms to put there bags away. "Hey come straight to the principles office when your done." Jace ordered them.

"Geez, we haven't even started school and already we're being sent to the principles office." Lexi said.

"And you would know all about that wouldn't you?" Greyson smarted at her.

"I'm not the one who got expelled." Lexi sassed back.

"And I am the perfect child." Brielle said, smiling.

They all walked with each other to the office and walked in. "Ah the Holmes children." the principle said. Brielle looked around Dallas and Jace were standing on one side of the room, Dallas was leaning against the wall. Garrett stood on the other side. "Please sit down." the principle motioned to the two chairs which faced his desk. Brielle sat and Lexi joined her in the same seat, each of them was small enough to fit, and Greyson took the other chair. "I hear your mother has left for Japan and left you here with your step-brothers."
