First Day Of School

Too Good For You

Surprisingly, Cassidy and I managed to avoid the biyatches, that I wish not to name. *coughs* Bree and Owen *cough cough*

Anyways, it was lunch now, and me and Cassidy went to stand in line to order and receive our lunch.

"Hey Cass?"

"Mmm?"

"Would do you think, burgers or pizza?"

"Is that even a real question?"

"Of course it is!"

"Do me a favour Abbygail, don't ask dumb questions!"

"You know you need me!"

"Mmm hmm!"

I decide to take two slices of pizza and some fries.

Cass and I grab our trays and walk over to "our" table. Raven, Riley and Rebecca are already at the table.

"Hey guys!" I greet them, taking a seat between Cassidy and Riley.

"Hey!" They say in unison.

"Abby, Cass texted me during first period about what happened in the hallway. I am so sorry" Rebecca said to me.

"Why are you sorry? I mean, Cass made it very clear that I am too good for him!" I say while flipping my hair jokingly.

"True that!" Raven said.

"Yea, definitely!" Cassidy said.

"I second that!" Riley added on.

"And what are we seconding?" Owen's annoying, but hot, voice interrupts our conversion.

I drop the slice of pizza I currently have in my hand and look to the side, in the opposite direction of Owen's body.

My friends notice my change in mood and follow my lead, ignoring Owen and continuing with their business.

"Um guys, what's wrong?" Owen asks and I huff at his question.

My friends and I just continue to ignore him.

"Guys, seriously, what did I do?" He asks and I dramatically push my tray away from my body, earning a questioning look from Owen.

"You know what, guys, I realized I've lost my appetite!" I stand up.

"Some sights are just disgusting!" I spit and grab my belongings and walk away. Obviously having the amazing friends I do, they leave as well, leaving Owen alone and confused.

I boomed out of the cafeteria and walked towards the ladies' restroom. I feel hand grab my lower arm to stop me. I turn around to face Raven with tears in my eyes. I immediately feel her arms around me, embracing me in a hug, and the others join in as well.

"Thanks guys," I say between sobs. "I needed that!"

"No problem! He deserves the hate he is gonna get from us!" Rebecca said.

"Hey, don't cry! You're gonna ruin your mascarra" Cass said.

"Im not wearing any mascarra" I reply, confused.

"Wait, so, you're saying that, that is your actual face?" Cass asks.

"You dont wear make-up, and you look that fine?" Riley asks as well taking me by surprise.

"Guys, let's get outta here! I'm feeling cramped" I admit, walking out into the exposed hallway.

"Ok, where do you suggest we go?" Raven asks looking me in the eye.

"We can just stay here, you know, chill" I suggest and I watch as my friends look at me in distaste. They are clearly against my idea.

"Alright, fine! What do you guys wanna do?" I ask them, and that is one of the worst questions I have ever asked in my life. Ever!

"No, no! I shall not!" I screech.

"Yes, yes! You are! Think of all the fun you'll have!" Rebecca tries to persuade me.

"Guys what about school? I mean, it is only the second day! We cant!" I try to change their minds. Why are my friends so hard headed?

"We definitely can! Stop over thinking this! Just do!" Riley said before yanking me up off the floor and proceeding to push me towards the school's main entrance.

Never. In my whole school going career. Have I, Abbygail Miranda Linklon. Ditched class. Even worse, bunked a whole school day. And I wasn't planninig to any time soon. But I guess plans change when you are friends with these delinquents. I guess you could call them that.

"Guys, let's just take a moment to rethink what we are doing here. Are you sure about bunking?" I questioned them, trying to convince them that what we are about to do is wrong.

"We thought about it several times now, we are leaving! Stop trying to guilt trip us!" Raven said and I whined and started throwing a tantrum. Yep, I am a tantrum girl.

I sat down on the gravel road, careful not to dirty my outfit. I kick my feet crazly and swing my arms every which way. I whine and whine and whine while my friends impatiently tap their feet.

"Come on Linkoln, we are leaving!" Cass starts to drag me but I refuse and use all the strength I have to remain still.

"I will not give in to your peer pressure!" I yell, resisting Cassidy's attempts to drag me.

"Fine! Stay here and go to class! With Owen!" Rebecca says and my eyes widen.

I shoot up from the ground and dust myself off, beginning to stroll towards the school's back gates. My friends laugh and follow me.

"Oh and Becca, dont mention that name when I am around!" I warn her and she raises both her hands up in alarm.

"So that is what it took to stop you from being the guilty conscious? The mention of his name?" Riley asked me surprised.

I just nodded and continued to stroll. Soon my friends started strolling the same way I did, and it looked really funny, but cool.

This, right here is what I needed. Friends who had my best interest at heart. Friends who were willing to miss out on their lunch to comfort me. Those are the friends I wanted.

"Thanks!" I said after we made it out of school and were headed towards goodness knows where.

"For?" Cassidy asks.

"For ditching your lunch to comfort me, for dropping a potential friend that could have made you popular, for bunking school for me, and I know how much you guys like lunch" I said and they replied in laughter.

"You're right Abby, we do like lunch, but we love you!" Riley answered, making me smile.

"Huggies?" I asked shyly, looking around for approval.

"Huggies" Raven stated and with that we all started hugging.

I literally have the best of friends. Ever.

Umm,well, I beg to defer Abbygail. I have the best of the best when it comes to friends. But yours come a close second. Kidding. I distant second. JK!

How are you? Good? Yay. Bad? Better days are coming. So sorry for not updating but you know, writer's block! Hehehe! *laughs awkwardly*
