First Day Of School

The girls and I spent the rest of the day in a tiny café near he school. We planned to go back just before our math period at the end of the day but we lost track of time. Typical teenage girls.

"Let's go, it's already the end of the day so might as well leave" Raven says with a huff.

"No ways! I'm too comfy!" I reply, earning an annoyed look from Raven.

"You know, you're the one that didn't want to come here in the first place yet when we want to leave suddenly you want to stay. What is actually wrong with you?" She says which makes me stand up slowly.

"Fine. But we aren't going to my house!" I say quickly

"Ok, we'll go to my house" Cass says leading the way.

"Um, you know we could just get a taxi right?" Rebecca asks pointing at the stationery vehicle beside us.

"Nah, it's walking distance" Cass replies strolling away once again and we shrug and follow her

In no time we are walking into the large silver gates of the complex. Cassidy greets everybody outside and continues towards the elevators. She pushes bottom no. 5 and the doors close.

"Abby, don't you wanna even consider talking to Owen?" Raven asks me and I look down in thought

"You know I think I'm just gonna tell him why I'm mad and if I do that I'll just have to confess my feelings. I don't think it will repair our two-day friendship but it's something"

"At least you aren't one to hold grudges" Riley says steeping out of the elevator first.

"You are well rid of Owen. He may be fricking gorgeous but what are looks compared  to personality?" Becca says making me nod in agreement.

The lift doors open and we make our way down the corridor and Cass slips a key into the door, twisting the knob and walking in. She throws her bag on the couch and and looking around frantically.

" Mom! I'm home!" She yells making me cover my ears with my hands.

"Cassidy! You shouldn't be yelling your sister has a guest over!" a woman I'm guessing is Cassidy's mom reprimands her.

"No need to make it sound formal. Just say she's in her room sucking face with her lover boy" Cass says while making missy faces

Her mom rolls her eyes and looks past her at us. She smiles and we wave.

"You girls must be Cassidy's friends. I'm Cassidy's mom but you can call me aunt Sasha" she says with a broad smile. She looks a lot like Cass just instead of red hair her's is a light brown.

"Nice to meet you Aunt Sasha" Riley says stepping in front of us all. "My name is Riley those are my sisters Rebecca and Raven and this is Abbygail" Riley points at each of us and Cass's mom looks at the triplets questionly. Before she can even ask Riley chips in.

"Yes we are triplets" she says and Aunt Sasha makes an "o" with her mouth.

"Well is there anything you guys would like to drink, orange juice?" Aunt Sasha offers and we decline. She walks back into the kitchen and Cassidy starts walking up the stairs. We follow behind her because we clearly have no idea what to do. Before we can get upstairs Cass stops suddenly and turns.

"Don't make any noise when we pass my sisters room. I don't want her to know I'm here" Cass whispers and we all nod slowly.

We tiptoe pass her sisters room and walk toward the end of the hall to her room. She opens the doors quickly and makes a motion with her hands for us to come in.

"Welcome to Cassidy's sanctuary ladies" she says in a funny British accent. 

We laugh and plop down on her bed. I grab a pillow and stare at the ceilings, noticing tiny red hearts.

"Why don't we call Owen?" I suggest and the girls sit up and look at me shocked.

"What?" I ask and the continue to stare.

"You just said his name without gagging" Rebecca says and I just roll my eyes in response.

"Whatever! Anyway let's call him and ask him to meet up somewhere in a few" I say picking my phone up

"What for? Miss him already?" Raven says in a girly girl voice

"No" I say throwing Cassidy's pillow at her "I just thought we could at least try to explain our actions today at lunch" I say and Riley stands

"I totally agree with you Abby! Let's call the hot jerk and meet up at the park" she says and leaves the room

So now we are in the park waiting for Owen as planned. He called back at Cassidy's place and he agreed to meet us here. I was actually really nervous and I didn't feel like talking to him. But I knew this was the right thing to do.

I hear the sound of a car rustling to a stop and I whip around to see what's happening

Owen steps out of a really fancy sports car and speaks to the driver for a little bit before they drive off. He walks over to us with a tight smile on his lips. He comes to a stop in front of me and makes eye contact for the briefest second before looking back at the rest.

"Hey" Owen says looking around. I just give him a head nod and so does Riley.

"Hey, so we're just gonna be over there" Raven says pulling the girls along with her leaving me Owen alone.

"Look a know you're probably wondering I called you here..." I say and put my hands in the back pockets of my jeans.

"I'm actually not. I'm sorry for giving you mixed feelings. I mean I was very intimate with you yesterday and I'm sure you thought there was something going on between us" he says while scratching his neck.

"Wait so you don't like me?" I asked a little heart broken.

He's face immediately filled with panic. "No! I really do like you Abby. It's just that Bree and I have history and it's not easy just letting her go"

"So you knew this was about the kiss in the hall?" I ask with an amused smile

"It was kinda obvious. Look I'm really sorry. I'm no good for you. I mean you're so sweet and smart and absolutely beautiful. But I just need time to set my priorities straight. Do you think we could stay friends for while? Just until the thing with Bree is over?"

"Okay" I eventually give and smile slightly

"Hug? Just for me Abby?" He asks sweetly which just makes me melt. I give in and hug him. He wraps his arms around my waist while I snake mine round his neck.

"I won't confuse you again I promise" he says softly while breathing my scent in.

I and I believed him.

First chapter in twenty five years!!! How was it? Good? Bad? Don't answer that. I'm gonna be updating slower but I will be updating. I just wanna make the chapters perfect before I publish them. Oh and I know it's dumb. But ........ THANK YOU FOR ONE HUNDRED READS!!! I have a lonely life.
