As I drove me and Phil to my house, it was completely silent until I pulled up into the drive way. We walked up the broken concrete steps towards my door. I started at it nervously.
"It's okay Dan, I know this is all hard to process." Phil whispered sympathetically.
I nodded my head before grabbing and turning the copper knob. The sound of the creaky door gave me so many flashbacks as we stepped inside. I clearly saw Phil's eyes grow huge at the sight of all the broken glass, empty bottles, blood stains, and other dents the covered the room.
"H-How long h-has this been h-happening?" Phil stuttered.
"7yearsandafewmonths." I mumbled under my breath.
"What was the sweetie?" Phil asked gently.
"7 years and a few months." I repeated more clearly.
Phil's head dropped. He was sad for me. He actually cared for me. He didn't betray me. He quickly shook his thoughts.
"Okay, we have until 9 right?" Phil asked.
"Yeah, what's your plan?" I asked
"Well, it's not really a plan. It's nothing extraordinary. We just need to hide all of his alcohol and weapons so he can't hurt you and/or get more intoxicated. Then we will call then police so they are here when your dad gets home." Phil explains as I nod a long.
After Phil explains we start going around, bringing bottles and weapons to Dan's room. Phil has stopped caring about what the house looked like. He just wanted to help me. Eventually we hid everything and as we hid in my room, I called the police.
"Hello, what's your emergency?" I kind male voice asked.
"H-Hi my name is Dan, I'm 16, I'm currently with my b-boyfriend. My parents have been abusing me for years and he found out so he is trying to help me. My dad will be home at 9 and we need officers at my house."
"Alright Dan, what are your parents names?" The man asked.
"Jacob and Madison Howell." I recalled. I hadn't said those names in years. I heard typing before the man spoke up.
"Ok Dan, a police report shows they had been previously arrested for driving while under the influence and threatening the attack a bartender for banning them from the bar. Does that sound familiar?" The man asked.
"That sounds like them. As I said earlier my dad will be home at 9, I don't know where my mom is though. My dad started coming home alone about 5 to 7 days ago." I replied.
"Alright, your with your boyfriend correct?"
"Yes." I replied
"Ok, what have you two done so far?" He asked.
"We his all of my dads alcohol and weapons in my bedroom. That's where we are hiding now."
"Okay, we will send some officers now." The man replied.
"Thank you." I said before handing up the phone.
Phil and I were currently hidden behind my bed as I set my phone down with a huff.
"Police are on there way" I mumbled to Phil.
"Okay, Dan? Do you have any scars or marks that could be used as evidence?" Phil asked.
"I-I have a few," I whispered.
"Can I see them?" Phil asked.
I looked at him nervously. I didn't want his to see me without my baggy sweater on.
"I-I don't..." I started.
Phil suddenly took my hands in his. He stared at me. I could feel myself melting at the sight of those ghostly but, elegant blue eyes. His pale skin and dark black hair were opposite but, also complementary. After a few seconds of staring, he started letting words leave his soft pink lips.
"Dan, I know how hard this is on you. I am so happy I met you. You are so precious and never deserved any of this. If you show me anything, I won't let it change my thoughts on you. I know your personality, your story, your gorgeous face. There is no way, that anything could change that." Phil said elegantly
I felt the light bubble gum pink dust on my cheeks. My hands warmed up but, he didn't let go. Before I could make an action, I felt the soft skin touch mine. I regained my thought as I looked forward. Our lips stayed connected as I started kissing back, passionately. I felt the warmth between us. It was something I had never felt before. I never wanted it to end. It took away all the pain from before.
"God Damnit Phil, where have you been all my life." I thought to myself as I leaned in closer to Phil.
Eventually our mouths broke apart and I placed my nose on his. We were both giggling. Trying to catch our breath. Phil smiled with his tongue poking out of his teeth. It was so adorable.
"Ok Phil, you can see this scars." I sighed.
I carefully grabbed the bottom of my sweater and pulled it over my head, revealing my purple, blue, and red body. My bones were very visible through my skin. Phil gasped. I saw tears escape his eyes so instantly as he covered his mouth.
"I'm s-so sorry," Phil choked out.
I just sat there nervously. I didn't know what to say. I couldn't tell what he was crying at. My form? My self harm scars? My abuse scars? All three? I don't know. Phil suddenly spoke up.
"I promise you, I will make everything better. Everything will be okay. You will be loved and cared for and treated correctly." Phil whispered peacefully.
I put on my sweater again and Phil grabbed me, pulling me forward so I was on his lap. I put my arms around his neck and placed my head on his shoulder. He put his arms around my waist and I felt safe for one of the first times in that home. We just sat there and there was nothing more I could ask for.
"Is this what heaven feels like?"
