Going Home

Madison POV

She looks so perfect standing there in my American apparel underwear. And I know now, that I'm so down.

My phone went off and I clicked snooze.

The bugle doesn't blow on the last day of camp, you have to get up on your own.

It went off again and I checked the time. 8:30. I sighed and decided to get up.

My mom was coming at 10:30, so I had to pack up.

Everyone eventually got up and we all started to pack up our last things.

By the time I was packed, it was 8:49. We had 11 minutes til breakfast, so I checked my phone.

I had a text from Hayes, and a text from my mom.

From: Mommy

See you at 10:30 Mad😘

I figured I'd reply later, so I checked the message from Hayes.

H: What time you leaving?

I replied to him and them brushed my teeth.

Then we went to breakfast.

After breakfast, we just got to hang out in the room or go out with our friends until 10:00 because that's the earliest parents could come.

Me and Hayes talked at breakfast and we said we'd meet up at the picnic tables after breakfast.

I walked to the picnic tables and saw Hayes sitting down.

I ran up behind him and wrapped my arms around his neck.

He turned around and saw me and smiled.

"Hey Mad"

"Hey" I said

"I don't wanna leave!" He said

"Yeah I don't either, but it's not like we won't see each other. We live in the same town!" I said.

He nodded and we just talked until 10.

We walked back to our rooms and said goodbye to our friends as their parents came.

Then at 10:30, my mom came.

"Madison!! I've missed you!" My mom said pulling me into a hug.

"Hi mom, I missed you too"

"How was camp?"

"Great, like always!"

"Alright, well you ready to go? All packed up?"

"Yep! Bye guys! I'll miss you! Text me!!" I say to everyone still in my room and wave.

My mom helps me carry my things to the car, when I see Hayes putting his things in his car.

"Hey Hayes" I say.

He turns around as walks over to me.

"Who's this?" My mom says.

"Mom this is Hayes. Hayes, this is my mom"

"Hello Hayes, nice to meet you!"

"Nice to meet you too, Mrs. Cooke!" Hayes says.

"Oh, please, call me Sherill" my mom says.

Hayes nods and Hayes's mom comes over.

"Hayes, is this the girl you told me about?" His mom says.

Hayes turns red and I giggle.

"Yes, mom. This is Madison"

"Hi, I'm Elizabeth" his mom says.

I shake her hand and our moms talk.

"So where in Mooresville do you live? Maybe we live on the same street!" I say.

"42 Elm street. You?"

"45 Elm street! So I live across from your neighbors!" Hayes says.

"Wow how have we like, not met?!"

"I have no idea" He laughs.

We talk while our moms talk, and after about 15 minutes, my mom says it's time to go.

"Text me in the car. I'll be bored" Hayes says.

"Okay I will" I say.

He hugs me and we walk to our cars.

"So, are you and Hayes dating?" My mom asks.

I wish we were.

"No. Just friends" I sigh.

Sorry it's up so late! Today I was so busy!

I woke up, and right away had to go get new skates which took like 2 hours! Then I helped my dad set up my trampoline for like 3 hours, then my neighbors came over and then we had dinner together and watched a movie, so I was really busy.
