Jack's POV ~

I closed the door behind me and clenched my other fist.

Stupid! You forgot Pitch was able to come! Those stupid nightmares...

It was hard hearing those screams. I was floating above the castle, looking over the entire town when I heard it. I couldn't tell who it was at first but as I circled the perimeter, the only reasonable answer was the queen. All guards fell into a coma when Pitch had arrived and were put in the basement to heal. Citizens were asleep already.
I darted to her room to see her clutching tightly the blanket. From the window, I could see her face changing from scared, to confused, to angry. I had no second thoughts. I pushed the window and darted to the top of her bed where she was shaking uncontrollably.
Before I touched her, I heard the whisper of a neigh, and any neigh in here was worthwhile.
I looked around the room to realize the presence of Pitch's shadow, laughing and stretching out through the window.
I was too late.
I peered out to see the horses scampering away before being blown to plain ashes.
Stupid me.
I landed softly back on the queen's bed before I shook her awake through her screaming. They were loud and terrifying, something I would hate to hear for the rest of my life.
Then there was a tiny second where I saw her eyes flash open. Her eyes widened and full of fear. Her hair falling in front of her face where the sweat met. She was beautiful mess.

What a relief.

Then I helped her, and she bid me goodnight. But I couldn't just leave. What if he comes back? It was only 2 a.m. and she still had yet a few more hours for a full day of training.

I have to stay here.

I plopped down against the wall and held on tight to the staff.

Yeah...i'm gonna stay...

Stay awake....

Stay.....

Awake...

"Jack?"

I shot my eyes open and sat up, accidentally hitting who was in front of me.

"OW!"

"OW!"

We rubbed our foreheads while Elsa stumbled back a bit.

"Sorry! Aw you scared me!"

    I helped her up.

"Well same with you! What are you doing out here? Did you sleep out here?"

I looked around. Light?

"Is it morning?"

She nodded as I rubbed the back of my neck.

"I was just worried... Pitch...he came. And I was scared he was going to come again."

She gave a small smile and nodded.

"Thank you then, Jack. Follow me,"

"Where we goin'?"

"Eat silly, i'm hungry."
She giggled and I trailed behind her.

Time skip

"Woah! How?!"

She shrugged.

"I did it once before accidentally at people who came to my castle."

"But don't you have guards?"

"Oh not this castle. The one I made over there."

She pointed up as I trailed my eyes.
I gasped in disbelief.
