Hoseok was full of happiness; glowing, even. He felt so nice to be in a relationship with Taehyung. He felt warm inside - all of the time. However, Hoseok often times over-thought things and still had a hard time feeling good enough. He thought these feelings would go away now that he and Taehyung were together, but they're still lingering. It scared him.
As Hoseok walked to school, he felt a feeling of despair looming around him. "He loves you. He loves you. He loves you." he repeated over and over to himself. He felt anxious. His stomach was fluttering. He was excited to see his love, but he was also scared and pessimistic. He was thinking of all bad things that could happen when he arrived, and he felt this every day. He never spoke of this to Taehyung, though, in fear of being problematic.
Hoseok kept his hands stuffed in his pockets as he tucked his face into his scarf. His hat sat comfortably on his head, his hair was resting comfortably despite wearing a hat, and his small frame was warm and cozy in his comfy jacket. It was cold, but Hoseok felt warmth. He wasn't sure if it was him changing, or if it was just his jacket. As he neared the school, he pulled out his phone and texted Taehyung to let him know he was close, feeling excited to see his handsome face. His love was strong, and he only hoped Taehyung's was just as strong.
Hoseok smiled and beamed as he entered the school. It was Monday, his first day in school with Taehyung as his boyfriend. He felt so excited. He walked past security guards, he took off his hat and scarf, and hurriedly made his way to the cafeteria for breakfast. Butterflies flew around his stomach as he spotted Taehyung, chilling comfortably with all of their friends. It was nice to be a group again. Hoseok smiled as he saw everyone together and made his way over to where the were. Everyone's faces lit up as they saw him near. "Hoseok! We've missed you hanging around!" Namjoon called out. Hoseok smiled even wider. "Hobi!" Jungkook called out. Hoseok waved to Jungkook, who had his arms slung around Jimin. Jimin waved too, smiling brightly. Hoseok eyes shifted over to Taehyung, and Taehyung looked breathtaking. His mouth was agape as he stared at Hoseok's long face, looking like he was taking in his beauty for the first time. Everyone around them giggled as Taehyung's gaze followed Hoseok as he sat down. Hoseok blushed. "Hey, Tae." he mumbled happily. Taehyung smiled and pinched Hoseok's cheek. "You're so cute, oh my." he gasped. Everyone laughed. Hoseok blushed even more as he hid his face in Taehyung's chest. Taehyung laughed and ran his fingers through Hoseok's messy hat-hair.
Everything seemed perfect now. However, a looming feeling of fear loomed over Hoseok.
Would Taehyung ever be able to understand the long-term damage he unintentionally caused?
Hoseok felt at home snuggled up to Taehyung's chest the way he was, and he knew the boys were delighted to seem them happy together. Hoseok sighed happily and pulled away from Taehyung's chest, gripping loosely onto his hand. Taehyung squeezed Hoseok's hand and smiled happily, immediately relaxing it afterwards. Then the boys carried on a conversation. They smiled and laughed gleefully with everyone, feeling as though there was nothing wrong. Frankly, there wasn't. Nothing seemed rotten or toxic with the relationship. However, not everyone could read Hoseok's small habits like Jungkook could - not even Taehyung. Hoseok could feel Jungkook's eyes burning into his skin, reading him.
The bell rang, interrupting the conversations between the seven boys, and they all parted to their lockers. As Namjoon and Hoseok walked to their homeroom together, Namjoon couldn't help but cheer happily for his friend. "It's so amazing that you two are together now. I love it." he proclaimed. Hoseok smiled and merrily slung his arm over Namjoon's wide shoulders. "Ya know, he's a really good kisser." Hoseok mumbled jokingly. Namjoon chuckled and began eyeing a short girl in the hall. "So is miss Hannah Johnson over there." he murmiured suggestively. Hoseok snorted and bent over, stopping dead in his tracks while holding back laughter. "Is there anyone you haven"t hooked up with yet?" he chortled. Namjoon wiggled his eyebrows. "Jin." he stated crystal-clear. Hoseok stood up straigt to see if Namjoon was joking, but the look of seriousness in his face showed otherwise. "So wait, you actually want Jin to hop on?" Hoseok inquired, wide-eyed. Namjoon looked at him like he was dumb. "Hell yeah!" he defended. Hoseok shook his shead in disbelief. The boys walked insync as they entered their homeroom, Hoseok still trying to comprehend everything. "You don't seem the type honestly." he stated, slightly flabbergasted. Namjoon just smirked evilly. "You've missed a good bit in these last few months." he eerily cooed. Hoseok thought for second, and then uncomfortably shook some thoughts from his head. "Do you even think Jin is gay?" he asked. Namjoon rolled his eyes with a smirk. "Pfft. Of course he is. He's way to soft for a woman, he literally is one." Hoseok laughed. "I've never really pictured him as a man's man." Hoseok chortled out. "There are many things about Jin you don't know, my guy. I am his closest confidant, after all." Namjoon assured. Hoseok shrugged and tried to picture Seokjin with another man. "I still don't see it." he stated, trying to imagine Seokjin being all over a man, holding hands and kissing. For some reason, the image just didn't seem right to Hoseok, but he couldn't deny the facts. If Seokjin said something remotely similar to homosexuality to Namjoon, there's no mistaking it could be true.
Hoseok spent all of his first period English class lost in deep thought about Taehyung. He was just too gorgeous to dismiss from his thoughts. He knew his teacher would be quite enraged to realize Hoseok was not paying attention since Hoseok needed the lesson, but Hoseok just couldn't break his partner from his thoughts. Every second with Taehyung just felt like he was high, or in a dream; it was all too good to forget. That class just seemed to zoom by with Hoseok's mind occupied and vastly focused on Taehyung's sculpted features. By the time Hoseok made it into the hall to go into his second class, He was already carried away in deep thoughtful about how deeply in love he was with Taehyung.
"Hey Hoseok." someone called out. Hoseok grew anxious. He could hear the intense cruelty in the voice that just rang through the halls.
Everyone stopped and stared. Hoseok slowly turned around. There stood the school's biggest, nastiest jerk: a tall girl, one named Hanna, with long, perfect black hair. She was almost the most beautiful girl there, if it weren't for the fact Taehyung outshined her. Hoseok gulped immediately upon setting his eyes on her ferocious stance.
"You are a lot weirder than i originally thought." she evilly slurred. Hoseok raised an eyebrow, feeling queasy inside. "At first i thought you were an emo little attention-hogging bitch, but it turns out not only are you a little emo freak, but you're also a little gay-ass feminist, aren't you? You're dating the hottest asian here, and now you're gonna ruin his reputation. It's for that attention you want, isn't it?" she snapped with an evil smirk on her face. Everyone in the halls was staring blankly, not even trying to stand up for him. Hoseok stayed quiet, letting her words sink right into his skin. "Taehyung is walking around like you're some kind of prize, but really, you're just a dirty little brat with no life. You're ruining his popularity. He'd be better off with Mina, honestly." Hoseok winced, feeling a burning sensation in his body, but Hanna went on. "I have to be honest, Hoseok, you were trying to steal him from Mina, weren't you? You wanted to get his attention, just to bring him down from his social status. You really are a gay, ugly, horse-faced bitch, aren't you?" The crowd gasped. Hoseok sniffled a bit, and then opened his mouth. "At least I don't suck sight dicks a week, Jessica." he snapped with a shaking voice. He then turned and walked away, biting his quivering lip. "My name is fucking Hanna." she called after him. Hoseok only ignored her, and made his way to the nearest bathroom.
