Many kids playing around the playground with their parents but on a swing a little bit far from others sitting in girl looking down to her feet, hiding her sadness. After a few minutes alone, a little boy approach the girl. He kneel down in front of the girls to see her face. The girl lift up her face, look weirdly to the boy in front of her. The boy take a seat on another swing beside that girl.
"Why are you alone? Why you not playing with others?" Ask the boy in different language made the girl more confuse. Then the boy realize his mistake, he change the question into English.
"They teased me since I had a different color of hair then them." The girl answer in fluent English.
"You can speak English? Great, I have someone to talk to." Say the boy cheerful and smile brightly.
"I'm emigrate from California. Where are you from?" She wipe her tears away.
"I'm from China. You can call me Luhan. I'm six years old." He show his hand for a handshake.
"Same, I'm six years old too. I'm Jessica. Nice to meet you." They play together for a while until Luhan's mom calling for him to go home.
"Ah, my mom calling for me. Hope we can meet again tomorrow." They bid goodbye and wave while running towards his mom. Jessica look up to the sky, it slowly turns dark. She quickly heading her home. It just a few miles away from the playground. She just move here for a few day since her dad need to handle their family company here. She still unfamiliar to her surrounding, most kids look her weird since she have dark brown hair, a pale skin and didn't speak in their native language.
"Jessi, where did you go? Why you didn't bring me along?" Her little sister, Krystal bomb her the question as soon she enter the house. Their house still in mess, a lot of work need to be done. She give her little sister a small smile while patting her head then apologized. She then grab Krystal into the bathroom and fill up the bathtub with water and foam before entering it together.
She enjoy playing along with Luhan for a few days since the other kids are avoiding her wherever she goes. She didn't feel scare anymore to go out as long Luhan by her side.
"Jessica, I have something to tell you." Luhan take a seat beside her as always. She tilt her head to face him.
"Today is going the last day I'm here. I have to go back to China since my dad job here done." He look at his shoes.
"So let play everything here for the last time. Let's see who going to swing higher." They play everything at the playground. Jessica try to be calm as she swing higher.
"Luhan, let's go. We didn't want to miss our flight." Luhan's mom yelling for him.
"Mom, can you take a picture of me and Jessica." His mother do as what his boy ask.
"I bought something for you. I saw this bracelet on the way here. You had one and I had one. Don't forget about me. See you again one day." He tie a bracelet on Jessica wrist. It match as him.
"Sorry I didn't prepare anything for you. You should tell me earlier." They hug each other and bid the last goodbye. She then run to her home and cry out of lungs.
