The day of the carnival had finally arrived.

Merilize and James walk next to each other up to the front taking their seats in the crowd.

James immediately got taken back in time that moment when Merilize jumped up to see Christie and the horse. She was wear a white dress that hanged to her knees, brown boots, loose hair and a brown cowboy hat.

She took a seat again putting her arm in James's arm leaning to his ear.

"That's Christie. That horse was Goldie's baby. Right next to her is Britney. Don't talk to her, okay? She can't say nice things about me." She whispered in his ear taking off her hat before resting her head on his shoulder looking at the racers.

"Why not?" He asked her.

"She's a real...We were close friends once. After she barked out all my secrets she became my enemy. Since that day she didn't had any nice word to say about me." Merilize replied looking at his arm that he took out of hers throwing it around her shoulder.

"Oh." Is all he let out seeing the race is about to begin.

When it was all over James walked up to one of the stalls where the sold pretty necklaces.

"I was so close to win." Britney mumbled and stood next to James that immediately knew who she was.

After congratulating Christie Merilize looked at James that stood there checking the necklaces and Britney standing next to him. She quickly rushed up to him getting his attention. He look at her and give a smile.

"Hey sweetheart. I was just checking out these necklaces." He smiled and grab her around the waist pulling her closer to him getting Britney's attention to them. "You want one?"

"No I'm..."

"Please choose." He said pulling her closer to the table letting her look.

"What are you doing?" She asked him in a whisper.

"This will look pretty on you." He changed the subject taking a beautiful necklace, she admired for so long.

"That's the necklace she always wanted." The lady behind the table smiled.

"We'll take it." He smiled and hand over the money.

He took the necklace and put it on for her. She look down at it then back at James turning around to face him.

"Thank you." She thanked him nicely touching his cheek. She gave a little smile and place a gentle kiss on his lips pulling away before it could lead to another.

The two of them walk around on the open just checking around.

"Thanks for..." She was about to thank him but froze looking back ahead. In a far distance she saw it again. The women and the white horse. She grab his arm refusing to take her eyes off the figure.

"Merilize?"

"Do you see it?" She asked and look at him that look ahead.

"See what?" He asked looking back at her.

"She was right there?" Merilize replied showing him to the empty spot seeing no one there. "The one from my dream. I promise you..."

He grab her behind the head shutting his lips on her to distract her. She gave a moan giving in. Her hands travel to his face and down to his chest.

He place his arms around her waist pulling her closer to him sharing the same breath.

They pull away slowly and look at each other. Merilize look ahead and saw the women again. She's not on the horse. She's standing next to the horse with the wind blowing strong against her.

Merilize look down, then back at James giving him a smile.

"So, when are you leaving?" She had to ask.

"Tomorrow." He replied to her. "Only for a week or two."

"I'll wait for you then." She smiled and take his hand starting to head back.
