*Clary's POV*

It's mean 2 weeks since my encounter with Jace at the club. Sebastian gave a scolding to be more careful the following morning. I had just finished school and was with Morgan in the park. I know she's a shadowhunter and lives in the Institute along with my other friend Rachel who's meeting us at the park. I don't know what Jace has told them, but neither of them have brought anything about me being a shadowhunter. So for now, I'm out of the woods.

"So, Serafina. Would you like to go clubbing with me and Rachel this weekend?"

"Which club is it?"

"Pandemonium, is it a problem?"

"No, it's just that my brother, Jonathan, and I are moving and we haven't finished unpacking everything in the new apartment. Maybe next time."

"OK. Next time."

Morgan and I continued down the path until we saw Rachel. I'm hoping that they don't figure out the truth. Otherwise, I'm screwed.

*Jace's POV*

I woke the next morning and headed to the kitchen to see Scar making breakfast. After our kiss last night, Scar apologised and ran out the room. I went to check on her but she didn't answer me. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the kiss but I don't know why she ran off.

"Morning, Scar."

"O...oh, hey Jace. Do you want some breakfast?"

"Yeah, that'd be great."

"Great, I'll serve you some. Just take a seat."

I sat down at the table and waited for Scar to finish up breakfast. So far, so good. There hasn't really been any tension. Scar came back over and placed a plate down in front of me, it was a full English breakfast.

"This looks delicious."

"Good, let's hope it tastes delicious as well."

I dug in and moaned as I tasted the food. It was amazing, I never knew Scar could cook.

After I had finished the food, I put my plate on the side and sat back down in front of Scar.

"So, Scar....about last night in the music room......"

"Jace, it's fine. It was just a one-time thing, right? It didn't mean anything."

"...Yeah, it didn't mean anything. I'm heading out, I'll see you later."

I abruptly stood up from the chair and quickly exited the kitchen. I heard Scar call for me but I ignored her and headed out the institute. Whilst walking, I knew exactly where to go. The park.

*Clary's POV*

"OK, I'll see you girls at school next week."

I hugged Morgan and Rachel as we went our separate ways. They most likely went back to the institute, whilst I'm staying here in the park. I walk around till I find my favourite place in the park; it's a small bench that sits under a great oak tree.

I sat down and took out my sketch pad. This is where I come to draw and escape my now hectic world. With everything going on; if the people at the Institute find us and try to take us in, we're going to have to leave.

I carried on with a drawing I've been doing. It's about what I dreamt of the other night. I'm stood at the top of the cliff, looking down on the forest, in the distance was Alicante in flames. At the bottom of the valley, at the edge of the forest stood 2 figures from my dream; Jace, and someone I don't recognise.

As I was drawing, a shadow cast over my sketch pad. I looked to see someone I didn't recognise, but when I got a closer look. It was the guy from my dream. He then began to speak.

"Found you...Clary."

Then everything went black.
