Clary's POV
I watched as they carried on into the castle, the entrance doors slammed shut leaving them no way out. They must have been walking for at least an hour until they stopped to rest (due to a dead end I'm sure Nathan had put in place). I had looked away from the screen, at least half an hour ago. I couldn't bare to see him much longer. He was still as handsome as the last time I saw him.
"Well I'm certainly going to enjoy this now. Poor poor Clary. So sad for her to see her true love...her everything love someone else. Well, we've seen that before haven't we. I hope you realise that they. Don't. Care. About. You. I'm just surprised they came to rescue Serafina...let alone the great Clary Fairchild. Makayla, take her back to her cell, we have preparations to make."
"Yes Master." Makayla walked up behind me, her heels clicking on the stone. She placed her hand on my shoulder, her skin freezing to the touch, as we disappeared and reappeared in the cell that was 'mine'.
"I recommend you get some rest. It's going to be a long day tomorrow."
Jace's POV
It was the next morning. Once we had entered the castle the doors slammed shut behind us. Making it clear that we didn't have a way out. We probably walked for at least an hour to we reached a dead end, which is where we decided to rest for the night.
I was the first to wake up. We had all brought a backpack with us, not knowing how long we would be here for. I dug into my backpack and removed some food, that I made sure Izzy didn't make, and started to eat as I waited for the rest of the group to wake up. Scar was closest tome, her head rested in my lap, a blanket draped over her.
As I was eating, I felt Scar start to stir. Her eyes opened and looked up at me. I smiled down at her, her returning my smile with her own.
"Morning beautiful."
"Morning handsome."
I looked up and saw that everyone else were starting to wake up as well. We ate and packed up our backpacks before heading off again. The wall that was her when we arrived had disappeared in the night.
"OK everyone, let's get going," Eli called out. I was at the back with Scarrose, then it was Alec and Magnus, next it was Izzy and Simon, then Morgan and Rachel and leading the front was Sebastian and Eli.
As we walked down the stone hall, lights illuminated as we went further down. I held Scar's hand, keeping her close in case of an attack. Who knows what could happen down here. We reached the end of the corridor only to find out it split into a T.
"We're going to have to split up. If anything happens, Magnus here can use his magic. Mark every turn you go down, so you can find your way back. If in the end it reaches a dead end, we'll find each other somehow. If we can't find each other, come back here. This is our meeting place. Understood?" Eli announced. He definitely was a leader type. Everyone gave him confirmation.
"OK. The groups are myself, Jace, Rachel, Scar, and Jon...Sebastian. The rest of you are together. We'll go left, you go right. Good luck." Scar and I walked over to Eli and with the rest of us all together we headed off.
I wished everyone I the other group good luck before we set off down the endless corridor. I kept Scar close to my side, not wanting her to get hurt again. I know we can heal, but there is only so much a Shadowhunter can take before they start to get weak.
I use my rune stone to help light the path. Eli makes a sudden stop, as does everyone else. I step around them and shine the stone down the corridor to see a shadowy figure, it looks like....Serafina!!!
