TMI fanfiction: A Broken Past (sequel to A broken Furture)

Chapter 8

*Sebastian's POV*

I didn't have time to check if someone had overheard Magnus and I's conversation as everyone had geared up to go meet the Seelie queen. All of us wore black, obviously, except Magnus who wore his typical deep purple cloak and some tight trousers along with a maroon shirt.

"Is everyone set?" asked Eli. There was a mumbled confirmation from everyone.

Eli moved to the centre of the room in front of an oak table. He pushed it out the way so an angelic rune symbol was visible on the floor. He removed his stele from his back pocket and glided it across the symbol. The rune glowed and opened up to reveal the institute's portal.

"Now, this portal won't hold as long as other due to it opening up in hell. so quickly get through." shouted Magnus, the roaring of the portal made it hard to hear him. Quickly everyone went through. Magnus and I were the last people to enter.

"Sebastian?"

"Yes."

"If you do anything to take Clary away from us again, I will personally end your life. And I'll make sure you stay dead this time."

"Trust me, I won't I've changed." I quickly jumped through the portal, Magnus folllowing behind me. 

I landed next to Morgan. Infront of us was a grand, rustic castle. It was larger than any castle I've ever seen; and somewhere in there is Clary. This is going to be a lot harder than I originally thought. Nathan, I'm coming for you.

Clary's POV 

"Master we have company" I heard Makayla anounce. Could it be? Has they found me? But the only person who knows I'm alive is...Sebastian.

"Perfect. Bring up the screen and get my dearest Clarissa a seat."

"Yes Master." Makayla clicked her fingers and suddenly I found my self in chair, locked to it with chains. A black out line appeared in front of me and a screen seemed to appear. An came into focus and first thing I saw was Magnus. Next to Magnus stood Alec, then Sebastian, Izzy and...Jace. I never thought I'd see him again. There were other people there, I recognised Morgan and Rachel but not the others. Seeing all my old friends after 2 years apart brought a tear to me. The moment of happiness was quickly ruined by the scraping of metal on stone.

I looked to my left to see Nathan pulling up a chair, more like a thrown, next to me.

"You see Clary. I knew they'd come for you. Your friends believe they are here for Serafina so it won't be a happy ruineon. And... I doubt they'll even surivive long enough to get you. HAHAHA."

I looked back to the screen. Whatever Nathan had planned couldn't be good. I only hope that my friends...family and their new companions can beat it and get me out of here. Damn this feels like something out of Super Mario.

Jace's POV

I looked around. Everyone was ready to fight. Even though most of us didn't know this girl well, we're still shadowhunters and shadowhunters help each other. I've meet Serafina on 2 different occasions, I could that she didn't deserve this. Yes, she's a rogue shadowhunter. But did she do anything wrong, no. A rogue shadowhunter that needs to be dealt with is one like Valentine or...Sebastian.

Everyone looked at each other, all of us silently agreeing as we all walked to the large metal doors. As we drew closer the doors opened up only to reveal a group of demons. Just great. I quickly took out my seraph blade, everyone else readied their weapons. I let out a cry and charged at the demons. 

I took down two immediately, one came barrelling at me. I swung around, plunging my seraph blade threw the area where its heart would be. It quickly disappeared to ash. the demons near me were all dead. I looked around to see piles of ash and barely any demons. I was about to go over and help Simon who looked like he needed help when I heard a yelp of pain.

I spun around to the sound and saw SCar face to face with a demon, her hands grasping her side. I quickly ran over, plunging my seraph blade into the demon with a loud yell. It disbanded to ash, I dropped my weapon to the ground as I turned to face Scar.

"Are you OK?" that was the most stupidest question I could ask.

"I...I'm fine, i...it's not that bad." I removed my stele from inside my jacket pocket, quickly I drew an iratze on her wrist which quickly got to work. Once I saw her start to relax, I helped her stand fully. I looked down at her with concern, hoping the rune did its job.

"Thanks, Jace. I'm OK, promise." 

She looked at me and all I could do was look into her eyes, they were beautiful. I knew what I was about to do was poorly timed, but I leaned in and pressed my lips to hers. I couldn't help myself. What was even better, is that she kissed me back. I haven't felt like this since Clary, and it feels good to feel whatever I'm feeling again. It may have taken me 2 years, but it was definitely worth the wait. I pulled back and smiled, Scar smiled back.

"Wow" I heard her mutter. Wow indeed.

"OK, Jace. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for you but we need to get moving before nightfall." I turned to see Izzy, Alec, Magnus and Simon all smiling at me. Alec and Izzy seemed to be the happiest, as they had to watch me every day for 2 years go through the torture of losing Clary. But now... I think I can be happy again.

I took Scar's hand in mine and made my way into the castle along with the others.

Clary's POV

He kissed her.

He actually kissed her. I felt tears rolling down my cheeks. I honestly don't know why I'm crying, there isn't much point for me to cry over him kissing another girl. He hasn't seen me in over 2 years, he most likely thinks I'm dead. So, why am I crying?

I still love him...but he doesn't love me, not anymore.

I watched as they entered the castle, walking into what could be their demise. Light reflected off of something around Jace's neck. I focused on it and noticed it was a ring...no 2 rings. One I didn't recognise, the other was...my family ring. He kept it, he wears it. The small piece of metal brought a smile to my face, and put a little bit of hope in my heart.

Maybe we still have a chance.

A/N finally I've updated, with my longest chapter yet. I'm in college but I've managed to find a way to fit Wattpad into my schedule. I have another 4 chapters planned so expect more updates. Plus I have a few surprises that I'll be announcing in my fandom x reader book so keep your eyes on that. Hope you guys enjoyed this and I've got a lot of drama coming up soon so... till my next update my little shadowhunters.
