"Rose?"

"Yes Dimitry?" I ask as my lips curve into a smile at the look on his face.

"What is this?"

"What do you mean? It's a Carnival."

He turns around and looks at me with a scowl on his beautiful face. I could see that he is starting to get irritated with my answers, but who cares, life is short and yolo and all that. It may also be the fact that I love to annoy him, but let's leave that for some other time, shall we?

" I realized that thank you. But why are we here?"

"Well we are on a date if you can't remember. You are old mister, forgetting things so quickly." I answer and a soft giggle leaves my lips.

"So our date, for which I worked so hard for is going to be at a Carnival?" he asks while arching one of his eyebrows, which now I just realized, makes him even hotter if that is even possible.

"Yes. Problem?" comes my question while I cross my arms and pretend to be serious.

Dimitry doesn't answer. Instead he just stares at me with an odd look in his eyes. After a moment he just starts to laugh loudly attracting the attention of other people. I just can't understand him. With a roll of my eyes I turn my back to the laughing fool and make my way towards the entrance of the Carnival.

"Rose wait up!"

"No. You know what, if you don't like it, you can leave. I am not stopping you, trust me."

I hate to admit it, but him laughing at my idea actually stings a little bit.

"Whoa, easy there. Why are you so mad all of a sudden?" he catches up with me.

"Why am I mad? You just laughed at me!"

He takes both of my hands in his and with a crooked silly smile splattered all over his face he apologizes. And I forgive him and we resume our light-hearted conversations from before and continue with the small talk while walking along the many stands with attractions. What he does not know is the fact that this place means more to me than he will ever know.

The Carnival is the only memory I have of my father. I was too young to actually be able to remember much from that trip, but what I do remember is how he made me feel. That warmth and pure happiness, I can't remember ever being so truly happy. But that is an old memory, before the accident, before it was all torn apart.

"Roza?" a soft voice breaks my train of thoughts.

"Yes" comes my answer and my eyes search for his.

"Are you okay? You looked sad for a moment. I said I am sorry, remember?"

That brings a smile on my face and my mood starts to improve.

"Yes, I was just thinking about the last time I was at a Carnival."

"Do you want to tell me about it?" he asks.

And I can clearly see it. His desire for me to share more, more than I am able to. God his eyes are betraying him. How can someone so cold and calculated also be so open and warm? You are a mystery Dimitry, you truly are!

"Not today, maybe another day?"

The disappointment is clear in his eyes. He wants more, but I can't give him more than that without completely falling apart all over again.

"I take what I can get. Come let's try the Carousel." He says enthusiastic like a little child.

Wasn't he the one that complained about the Carnival at the beginning of the night? Now he wants to try everything.

"You really want to ride it?"

"No I'd much rather ride you, but like I said I take what I can get. Now come!"

And just like that I am ready to commit murder. I just stay and star at him in shock while he stands tall and proud with a smirk on his face. A child, I spend my time with a child.

"You are utterly annoying!"

"Whaterver, you secretly love it!" he answers and rolls his eyes.

"Yeah keep rolling your eyes, maybe you'll find some brain in there!" and with a flip of my hair I start walking towards the ride leaving the man-child behind me.

"Roza! That was not nice!"

"Who said I am nice? You just assumed it didn't you?"

"Yes actually!"

We both turn to stare at each other and just burst into laughter, don't ask me why because I can't possibly answer you. All that I know is that he makes me feel bubbly inside.

"Thank you Rose." He say on a more serious tone.

"What for? Free insults and cheap dates?"

"Yes exactly. I can barely remember the last time I had so much fun."

"Well you are truly welcome!" a smile makes it's way on my face.

"Oh and also I like that you said dates. Good to know we are on the same page." He says and kisses me on the cheek.

"Come on. It our turn." He says and takes my hand as he pulls me towards some empty seats.

So boys and girls that is the story on how my legs became all jelly and my face so red you could have mistaken me for a large tomato.
