Forgotten and Lost In Blood Red Eyes

Chapter 10

"Minori!!" Kazuhiro was reaching out his arms and embraced me.

"Kazuhiro." I felt my tears slip down my cheeks in an endless flow.

"It's alright." Kazuhiro runs his fingers through my hair. But suddenly a flash of white hair knocked him into a tree.

"Haru!"Aki yelled and I looked over to see it was Haru who was the assailant.

"YOU FILTHY BASTARD!! HOW DARE YOU TOUCH HIM!?" Haru was furious. They began fighting, blood was on Haru's knuckles.

"Kazuhiro!" I ran over to his limp body.

"That's what he gets for laying hands on a pure soul." I stared at Haru with fury.

"How dare you hurt your friend!?" I lost control of my voice and body.

"A-Asami?" Haru and Aki said in unison.

"Why do you disrespect your fellow being?" They bowed deeply.

"We apologize." I walked over to them and helped them stand.

"Don't do it again alright." The soul controlling my body became gentle and subsided. My body became rag doll-like and I felt drained.

"Minori!" Kazuhiro yelled and ran over to me.

"Kazuhiro." I grabbed his hand. I felt like he wanted me not her.

"I saw her just now instead of you." he murmured. "But I'm more happy to see you." My heart throbbed.

"Kazuhiro slow down." Aki grabbed me and held on.

"Aki give him to me." Haru tried to use dominance but Aki wouldn't give me up.

"Come on now let me go guys." I said after hearing these ridiculous guys fight over me, literally.

"Do you want to come home?" Kazuhiro looked at me longingly. I felt compelled to go but there was some things I needed to sort out first.

"Can you tell me what Asami was? I know she was mortal but she wasn't before she met all of you I'm correct aren't I?" They all looked away or twiddled their thumbs. After several moments Haru spoke up.

"She was half Angel, half Vampire." I was stunned by this.

"How did she become mortal?" Kazuhiro looked me straight in the eyes.

"She had sex with her true love...me." I felt my chest shatter from disbelief.

"What does that have to do with her becoming mortal?!" I yelled unintentionally.

"After she becomes impure, after having sex she turned mortal. She was no longer pure enough to have the immortality of the Purest Ones."

"What are the Purest Ones?" that name sounded familiar. My father had said something about that when I was a child.

"They were immortal and could not be killed by normal means. Like injuries would heal in a week or even a day. They had to be...defiled or they couldn't die." Haru had anger and sadness in his eyes.

"It was my fault she died. She had fallen ill after our night together and then died." They all loved her and I felt as though there was no room for me.

"You are a Purest One. But you are mortal and your powers have been bounded by a magic chain on your soul." Aki chimed in for the first time since the beginning of the conversation.

"Who sealed it?" I felt tension rise there was a secret they weren't telling me.

"Your brother sealed it the day you were born. But slowly he used up his strength over the years as you got stronger. Then he used all his strength up trying to protect you and died." Aki was very knowledgable.

"So I killed him." I was overwhelmed by this new fact. I had been the one using that fire thing.

As a child I used to experiment with my weird powers. I didn't think they were anything until my father and mother saw. My mom deemed me a demon and wanted me to go back to Hell "from whence you came". My brother had seen my magic and was concerned.

"Minori." Kazuhiro embraced me. I felt my tears stream down my face. He bent down and kissed me on the lips. I lost myself in the intense kiss.

"Ahem." Aki cleared his throat and I smiled partially feeling distant and sad.

"Can we go home?" I said and Kazuhiro picked me up and darted through the forest. I fell asleep in his arms.
