I opened my eyes and saw my brother smiling at me. We were in a field of dead flowers and the sky was dark. I ran for him, but he kept getting farther and farther away. I saw him reaching for me and crying.

"Be strong. Be strong." he repeated the same words over and over as I tried to catch up.

"No Big Brother stay! Please!" I cried and pleaded but he was getting farther away and finally disappeared. I collapsed to my knees in the dead flowers that radiated a dark aura. As I cried my tears lit up the flowers and made them glow a blueish green light.

"You are a demon child!" My mother's screams had filled the empty silence.

"Stop it." I whispered but her screams continued.

"It's your fault! They died because of you!" she appeared before me with a knife, "You should've have been the one to die!"

I awoke from my dreams tears spilling down my cheeks. My dream had caused me to sweat and scream and everyone had come to my room.

"Are you ok Minori?!" Akihito ran over and wiped my tears gently off my face.

"I'm fine just had a bad dream about my brother." I smiled happily and everyone looked concerned except for Daisuke and Yoko.

"Well you got everyone worked up for no good reason." Daisuke glared at me.

"Daisuke why are you so mean to Minori?" Yoko gave Daisuke a blank but cold glare.

"He's a human! A filthy human!" Daisuke shouted at Yoko.

"Daisuke! You are my eldest son yet you act like a child." Yoshihiro looked angrily at Daisuke.

"Don't yell Father." Ai pushed through with Satoru.

"Ai is right Father." Satoru smiled at Daisuke who turned and walked away.

"I'm sorry Minori. The queen was murdered by humans. I don't hold a grudge towards them. They were just fearful." Yoshihiro said.

"Oh. I'm sorry." I replied.

"Well everyone we know nothing bad has happened so let's get some rest." Kazuhiro announced and everyone else left the room but Kazuhiro. He walked over to my bedside and kissed my forehead.

"What was that for?" I whispered.

"It was a goodnight kiss." he smiled and quickly walked out of the room.

Morning came quickly. The sun shined brightly in my eyes. I turned my head and found Ai sleeping beside me. her eyes fluttered open and she yawned.

"Good morning Minori-chan." she smiled sweetly.

"Good morning, did you crawl into my bed last night?" she nodded her head. I giggled and we both got out of bed.

"I'm hungry." Her stomach grumbled.

"Well let's see if everyone else is awake." I said as we exited my room.

We walked down a set of stairs leading to a beautiful dining room filled with food and people.

"Good morning Minori!" Akihito ran to me and hugged me.

"Good morning Akihito." I managed as he squeezed me.

"Ahem." Kazuhiro glared at Akihito and walked over to us.

"Oops." Akihito moved away and allowed Kazuhiro to hug me.

"Did you sleep well after your nightmare?" he whispered gently into my ear.

"U-um yes, thank you for asking." I smiled at him. "I am very hungry though."

"We actually had the cooks make human food!" Satoru beamed happily and Yoko was right beside him.

"Yes, Father wanted to give you a good meal." Yoko still had a blank expression but her voice was warm and happy.

I say at the table and scanned the room for Daisuke but could not find him.

"Where is Daisuke?" I inquired. The room became hushed.

"Let's just eat and enjoy each other's

company!" Yoshihiro's voice boomed throughout the room. Everyone feasted on the food happily. Kazuhiro was sitting on one side and Akihito on the other. We all ate smiling and talking.

When the meal ended Satoru beckoned me.

"Daisuke is probably training in the archery range." he whispered to me. He pointed me in the way of the range and I made my way to find him.

As I made my way through the garden I saw Daisuke on a black horse drawing his bow. He hit the target perfectly and I looked on in awe. I was well hidden and I rustled the bush. an arrow suddenly shot passed my head.

"Come out whoever you are!" Daisuke yelled and I put my hands above my head.

"It's just me." I smiled. He put his bow on his back and got off of the horse.

"Why are you here?" he asked coldly.

"I came to see how you were doing." I stared at the ground.

"I'm fine so leave." He turned away and started to get back on his horse.

"I'm sorry humans have caused you so pain!" I yelled to him. He stopped and got off his horse and was in front of me in five seconds.

"Don't pity me. You're the same as all of those humans out there." his words were cold and bitter.

"No that's not true!" I shouted at him furious. "Not all humans are the same. Some of us are gentle and kind we are all different."

"Your kind murdered our mother!" He yelled with pain in his voice.

"And I'm sorry that some people did that! Don't blame me." Tears rolled down my cheeks. "You were lucky to have a mother who was loving, my mother is still alive and she tried to murder me. I have no brothers or sisters my older brother passed away, and I lost my father as well!"

I smiled and wiped my tears, "Just treasure your family and your memories." I felt warm arms wrap around my shoulders and I turned to see Daisuke.

"Don't look at me." he said coldly with a tinge of warmth.
